Defense really beat themselves in the 4th quarter. Won't win like that. Brutal Those are hard fought penalties. Nothing mental or stupid, just stuff happening in the course of play. They have been untimely, but I'm not gonna get torn up about it Effort penalty yards count the same. Seems like Schroder gets targeting penalties about 3 times a year. This is not the reason we're going lose the game though. Just sucks Inability to move the ball through the air is the reason we lost.

Time to open up the playbook and pull out all the tricks. Release the speed demons!

I want to be a force in the FCS and this game is giving me hope that we're on our way to that.

Good game boys. I've been as critical of Bob and the team over the years as anyone has. It's not about losing games, it's how we've lost them. A few years ago, I remember thinking (and posting on here several times) that the team had given up. I stand by those posts. But I'm proud to say the last two seasons of Coyote football have a different attitude about them. There's no quit and there's no doubt they belong on the field with whoever has to line up across from them.
Rest up, get right, and feel good about yourselves as we enter the FCS portion of the schedule. The goals haven't changed.

Playing a big ten team in the game until late very good We had bad luck with those penalties in their last drive. My Wisconsin friends thought the Badgers would win in a blowout was impressed with our team. this game wont hurt us might help us

I’m still not sold on Bouman. I find myself pleasantly surprised when we complete a pass versus expecting it to happen. Next week might be a good test to see if it’s the level of competition or just another 50% completion rate for 120 yards. With that being said I’m totally cool with how we looked liked we belonged there for most of the game.

Thoroughly impressed with the way we played today. We had our chances. I haven't seen a Coyote team play like this in a long time. It was fun to watch.

He's the type of qb who has to have good protection because his lower body gets disconnected when he moves off his spot. He's best on play action and decent over the middle. His accuracy falls apart outside the hashes and against man coverage when receivers are crossing his face. He pretty much is what he's going to be. He's good enough but he is never going to be the best player on the field who elevates the team. Dare I say a game manager type qb.

I was watching the Yotes and the Irish at the same time. Never thought it would be the Irish who made me sick to my stomach! Overall good showing for the Yotes. Good game to use to get better.

It seems at time that maybe Bob still calls some offensive plays? Maybe I'm wrong? A couple of those series looked like teams of past when Bob was calling plays. Coach Davis has us moving in the right direction and his his head coach needs to trust him.

I thought the offense was looking pretty good when lightning was running instead of thunder. Nothing against any player, just schematically it's harder for a power back to have a successful day against a bigger/stronger opponent. I'm really optimistic for both players against a FCS schedule! On the defensive side, aside from the first few drives and the end of the game, the defense really held their own out there.

When Bouman took over from Camp a year and a half ago he threw deep a lot and put up some big numbers but the team went nowhere. Davis came in and turned it into a run first team and had the most successful season in the teams history even though the QB numbers had to suffer.

That's complementary football which is where we've improved most since Davis came in. Good team football on most days but we will lose games where are forced to throw to keep pace. No shame necessarily but that's who Aidan is as a qb. He's not a game changing player. He is a decent piece of a well-constructed team.
