Angst. We’ve aced every test so far, but the big exams still lie ahead. Last year was just fun, but this year we actually have hype to live up to. Not something this fanbase is familiar with. Yeah, I get that. But it feels like if we said during the 19-20 WBB season "keep in mind that UND and NDSU have been dominant in the past, and we don't fare well there." Then we go there and win 80-36 (NDSU) and 93-46 (UND). We all knew how those games were going to shape up. The 2024 Yotes FB team is really good. I don't care what the USD 2018 FB team was, much less YSU's 2018 team. I agree. Just trying to offer an explanation of the vibes. We are a very complete team and I like our odds, but memory of our physical beat downs received from the XDSU’s in the dome last year still linger. We won’t really know if we’ve taken the next step until we can show an ability to match them punch for punch. If not, then we’re still vulnerable and a tier below. |

Game time at the Ice Castle. I get that their mascot is the Penguins, but I can think of so many colder stadiums. Undeserving nickname.

Down 7-0 at the end of the first quarter. YSU is driving. They've been gashing this defense and really shortening the game.

Icing the kicker is not a real thing. I hate when coaches try that. More often than not it helps the kicking team. Then we have a situation where the YSU kicking team has to rush onto the field and attempt a field goal, so we call a timeout so that they can gather themselves? Of course the first attempt was no good but didn't count.
