Looks like the media polls (STAT/ Coaches) will NOT be used by the committee for seeding this year. There's no way. They can't seriously use a metric that has Drake ranked 4th. How can a model be so broken that it has produced these results?

Dropped to 5th in both polls: herosports.com/fcs-football-rankings-bzbz/Pollsters put UC Davis at 4th in both polls. That is a team that has been skating on thin ice much of the year. They needed the refs to put 1 second back on the clock to get a TD on the final play of the game to win 27-26 against the fighting Whooping Coughs of Portland State. |

That one second thing happened at the Dakota Dome once. I think the Aggies still have to face both the griz and the bobcats. They will either validate their promotion, or they won't. |

Sure, it happened in a rivalry game between teams with common standings in Vermillion. The currently 4th ranked team in the nation shouldn't need that to beat a team that was 0-4 at the time (and 0-5 if they played USD). You are correct that they will face true tests in the future. I suspect they will fail miserably. |

I will be interested to see how Indiana St fairs against UND this week at home. UND plays significantly worse on the road than at home and Indiana St has won their last 2 home games. This is a must win game for UND and I do anticipate they will win big, but I think it is good that we get to see our next two opponents play each other this week.
