Woah woah woah, let's not get crazy. I like my halftime beers...... Me too. But I see no reason to go outside for them anymore. I ain’t hauling my ass in and out when I can chill and have one in the concourse. Pro tip. It's a lot quicker to hit the Porta Potty outside while grabbing a beer than it is to wait in line at the concourse. Shhh. Don't let anybody else know this. |

The gap has closed between us and the rest of the elite FCS programs, but we really haven't proven anything to this point in D1. We've had some good seasons and made some playoff runs, but I'm not sure we've ever finished higher than state or NDSU in the Valley or in the playoffs. I think we have the team to win a championship, but we have to go do it. In the eyes of the local public, we are still second tier to the xDSUs and that really hurts fan support. I think we're getting there, but it will take some time. Until then, I'll be in my spot right there on the railing with as many people as I can drag to Verm. |

We really put ourselves in this position by not going D1 when state did. They were playing meaningful, local D1 rivalry games while we were transitioning playing games against teams nobody's ever heard of. It's not a surprise that they captured most of the non-affiliated casual fans. If I was a football fan in Sioux Falls in 2007ish without a dog in the fight, I'd probably be more interested in SDSU v. UNI or NDSU than I would USD v. Southern Utah or Southeast Louisiana. |

Montana hasn't won a national championship in over 20 years. They're like UNI, just haven't been exposed like UNI has. If they were in the Valley they would have been exposed by the Dakota schools like the pretenders they are.
Truth is the bar has been set ridiculously high by NDSU rolling off natty after natty for a decade. Now State winning a couple.
We could win the NC this year and people in the Dakotas would be like "Really, just one. Let us know when you've won 5". It's just that distorted around here.

What perfect day to be in the dome watching the Yotes this year is fun. talked to some indiana state fans they thought they turned the corner in their program I told them I watched the game against North Dakota and was impressed. Then one said I watched your team too we dont have a chance he was right I liked their QB but our defense is playing lights out they could not even get a yard running. We run 4 to 5 players in and out all game its seems like every play and with zero problems just seem more organized than past seasons

Extremely impressed with this coaching staff and the laser focused they have been with the players. Game scheme prep and play design aside, when the players are regurgitating to the press what the coaches are selling in the meeting rooms and at practice throughout the week, it means that they have them bought in fully. Absolutely credit the players and their amazing performances on the field, but props need to go to this staff too. This is a very selfless team and it's fun to watch how they react to each other on the sideline, and their true joy. Kudos to the whole team for buying into the team concept. This resilience will get tested mightily in the next few games, but I truly feel they are built for this!! Very talented roster and they love each other!!

Just my opinion/observation... Our basketball and volleyball coaches make an effort of posting on social media that we needs fans, students, butts in the seats, etc. I do not recall Bob or any of his coaching staff ever doing this, but maybe I'm wrong? In no way am I saying this will make a significant difference, but in this day of social media importance- what can it hurt?
