I met Bridget a few times at fan events. She was very kind and happy to interact with us. Her time at USD coincided with my then ~11 year old brother becoming a fanatic for the sport and idolizing the Coyotes. I will always remember chatting with her about Crofton after a game while she and some teammates autographed the t-shirt that my brother was wearing. It might have been the greatest moment of his life up to that point. He had that shirt hanging above his bed for a couple years. It was one passing moment, but it meant the world to a kid and that has always stuck with me.
My heart aches for the family and those kids growing up without a mother. I think they're in a special community and family that will pull together and give support that you just don't see elsewhere. My prayers are with the family.

What’s everyone’s thoughts on setting up a GOFUNDME page for her kids?

The Huskerland Prep website (huskerlandpreps.rivals.com) has a very nice tribute article on Bridget and the Arens family today. Don't need a subscription to read "From a Scrub's Standpoint".
