This game is the season opener for the Lady Yotes. I am checking out Coyote Vision to test out the quality of the video production. ;D
Gametime is tonight at 7:05PM
The Yotes came off a nice season last year with a trip to the post season.

The Yotes are up 15-6 early on. An observation regarding the new court. I don't mind the design but it needs more color. There needs to be more white where there is light brown hardwood color. This is most especially true where it says Coyotes or South Dakota on the baseline. The White looks good on the center paw logo. The Summit League logo within the lane is colorless where it would be nice if it had some color to it. The court is nice but basically needs more color to it.

30-26 Coyotes. For a first game the Yotes look good out there. Alot of good ball movement and good shooting from the outside. It's nice to have Jody Boss down low as she is a force on defense and a potential scorer this year as well.

37-26 Yotes after a nice run. Good driving, good 3 point shooting leading to the 11 point margin. Offense looking in mid season form.

South Dakota 43 HALF
The Yotes look good in many aspects of the game. This is the third game for the Lumberjacks so they have an advantage of sorts. Hegge has about 16 at half and missed a three-fourths court shot at the halftime buzzer that clanked off the rim. Annie Roach has looked good driving and shooting. Boss is her usual self down low influencing alot. Yackley is playing tough like usual.
Saylor is there and doing an interview on the radio. The Women's basketball team was scrubbing the floor before the game to get it ready. It was needed for whatever reason. Something to do with a coating on the surface. The NCAA was impressed with USD's campus as they were there to be ready to officially award USD full D1 status next year. Saylor is praising all the seniors in athletics that do the hard transition work during their time at USD. The football turf is coming next year. USD is working with Populas an architectural firm that will have a design ready by mid December for a new arena. It is going to hold about 6,000 and be good for profitability and for fan experience. Saylor has been excited with what he has seen of it so far. I say just simply build it with good sightlines and to contain noise and that is all I really care about. Make it a noise box for the Yotes. A real home court advantage that the dome doesn't quite provide.

59-42 Yotes at the under 12:00 timeout. The Yotes are simply the better team tonight but I also think the team is playing very well. I may not be able to update all the way through tonight.
I have been impressed with the offense tonight. Something Ryun Williams emphasized this year.

Actually this is the 4th game for N Ariz not the 3rd game as I said earlier.

BOOM! The USD women coming right out of the gate with a nice win. Hegge with 30 points...I am going to say she could be on the short list for Summit League MVP this year.
