I will be watching this one online today and might provide some updates. This is one of those games where the Yotes really better get a win to show UNO that they are behind the Yotes by 4 years. The Mavericks are a nice rival to have back for USD. I have always enjoyed going down to Omaha and UNO road games gave me good reason.
Make no mistake the Mavericks will provide a good challenge. They played IPFW very tough and had another game that escapes my memory that they played well in.
For those still hurting after the football loss be a hoops fan. Both programs will provide a little more stability.

UNO is 1-2. Lost 83-72 to IPFW, Lost to UMKC 77-74, beat a pansy. That shows they are here to play. I wonder how many UNO fans will make the trip north. Weather shouldn't be too bad to the south.

Joey James says UNO has good guards, like to push the ball. Joey says "we gotta have this one". Nice to play at home. Scoring is an issue. Also says that USD is going to get out and push the tempo.

UNO shoots well from the stripe. They have quite a few players back from last year.
It was announced that Nimrod Hilliard is foregoing redshirting this season. He will play today.

Swain just call UNO, Northern Iowa. Than later said that one of the players put up the first free thrown when it in fact was the second. Simply too many errors.

44-36 USD at half. Not a bad performance. A bit ragged from both teams so far but the shots are falling a bit better from outside from the Yotes. It seems like UNO is getting too many offensive rebounds.
We have a nice player in Nim Hilliard. You can just see his potential oozing. He is very quick compared to the other players yet still seems in relatively good control. He could very well be the Yotes best player in time. He is just what the Yotes need IMO. He is going to be a good contributer, a good scorer and cause alot of havoc in the passing lanes on defense. I like him so far.
Saint Gelais didn't start but he look athletic as well. He should be a good player as well. I think the bigs can still play a little better on offense but defensively they seem to be doing well.
The Yotes need definate work on that half court offense. If we can win this game by 10 or more that would surpass what IPFW and UMKC did against them and they are both mid/lower level Summit Teams.

11:48 to go
USD 64-62 but UNO has scored 6 straight. The Yotes cannot seem to put them away and UNO cannot seem to take the lead.
