The USD Board May be Passing Up the UND Board

I counted about 27 posts in the game thread on the Sioux Board. Counting the look-alike thread there are 47 posts on the Yote board on the game. It seems like the USD board which definately has a rep of being very inactive is winning out over the Sioux board.

USD definately has more interest in mens basketball as well. Of course hockey is the thing in Grand Forks but for the other sports the boards really aren't too far apart, at least with game discussions.

Not to shabby for a board that had to be redone after the Coyotes biggest win right? Also, I am sure the UND vs USD thread will get better starting tomorrow, since gameday is on Saturday. I usually wait until Friday to post my opinion just in case stuff comes up during the week.

It's great to know this board is progressing so well, and I am not just saying that because I am the admin.

It is going pretty decent around here. Just gotta keep it growing. I'm also holding off on my prediction until Friday. That thread will pick up for sure.

About 10PM last night I witnessed more than a few groups of co-eds making there way downtown. I did not hit the bars last not for visual confirmation but I am pretty sure the Captain made several appearances last night. In fact, I think the Captain has taken up residence in Vermillion this week along with his buddies Jager, the good Dr. and Chuck Norris, not to mention a few old-timers Jack, Jim, and Jose.

So far this week I have talked to a lot of regular USD supporters who are bringing either their kids or their friends or both to the parade, tail-gate and the game on Saturday.

I have also talked to a suprising number of friends and acquaintances who went to USD, but were never that interested in athletics who are now starting to take an interest in the 'Yotes and plan on attending.

Starting to get excited for Saturday and for things to come. Happy D-Days!

I know I will be bringing the family to the parade, enjoy Vermillion for awhile and then of course the huge Dakota Days game. No party for me unless it involves a tea party in the kids room. I really like the new buildings on campus. I am going to have to make another stop at the new CSC to get some Coyote stuff.

I like the Dakota Days parade better than most. Because the point of the parade is about College floats, bands and just generally cool stuff. The fewer politically decorated cars, antique cars and backyard junk (excluding student floats) on wheels the better.

give me cheer teams, bands and general spirit stuff.

UND starts hockey this weekend with an exhibition against Manitoba. Hockey is THE sport up there....football will always be #2 or #3.

That said, this is a good board with passionate yote fans. USD is a good team with an ave defense but if that defense comes around, you can run the table....and that means UNI also.

Is saturday going to be a sell-out down in Vermillion?
Are the students going to come out and make a lot of noise?

Go yotes...kick the Sue's a**es......
