It's the most wonderful time of the year. I'm embarrassed yotefan beat me to the punch in another thread, but here's the obligatory Happpppy DDayyyyys!
We all know the Coyotes are game planning hard for UND, but anyone at all familiar with DDays knows that it is unwise for anyone to enter this weekend without a well-thought-out plan of attack (or perhaps "survival" is the more appropriate word).
My plan: Coming down Saturday morning with a large group of friends. Carey's by 9 a.m. for the start of an extended liquid breakfast. Possibly watch a bit of the parade. Make my way over to the tailgate area around 11ish, which brings up an interesting question: What's the scene going to be like for people just coming into town without a car or tailgate spot reserved? (that will be my case as I'm coming in on a bus). Figured I'd probably just grab some beer from the gas station and wander around. Anyway, at 2 p.m., catch an exciting Coyote victory. Take in a few more hours of downtown action and catch the sober bus back to SF, hopefully alive with all of my limbs.

Back up a sec. What's this I hear about a bus? Did you and your friends rent a bus?
As for tailgating, walk-ins are more than welcome.

Yotemeal, I was imagining raising a beer with you at Carey's when I made that proclamation. Your plan sounds surprisingly similiar to mine and about 50 other Coyote fans coming from Sioux Falls. Going to be a show. Here's a toast for the weekend... I lost my voice in Minny, but I got it back in Verm Didn't have much to cheer for when I watched the Rangers squirm I lost it again in Lincoln, where I was a bit confused To cheer for State or the Huskers, it must have been the booze I hope to lose it once again this Saturday after two When we kick the ever-loving snot out of North Dakota's Sioux

I know of at least three groups of alum living up and around Sioux Falls that rent a bus which drops everyone off in the morning and then picks everyone (or almost everyone back up in the evening. There are also smaller groups that rent limos or simply carpool with a dd. Can't wait.

Almost everyone? Verm to Sioux Falls, now that would be one long Walk of Shame.
