Great game at the dome tonight with USD leading 28-27 at half. Oral Roberts is gifted and they play a very fast tempo. Lesser teams would have problems keeping up with them. They are very good but USD's defense is also very good as well so it's like two equal but opposite forces colliding.
USD is handling the ORU uptempo game pretty well. ORU has a couple of easy baskets and a couple of open threes. USD is getting good open looks underneath the basket when they work it around versus ORU's often over pursuing defense.
This is the first time all year for football or basketball that I am truley regretting not being there in person. Last night was like ho-hum but tonights game is very exciting.

Oral Roberts wins it 66-53. They outscored the Yotes 17-4 after being down 41-39 and that was basically the game. Oral Roberts looked very impressive to me. They just don't stop the pressure.

If you've ever watched the Briar Cliff women play, Oral Roberts has the exact same style. Up tempo ALL THE TIME.

I watched the 2nd half on-line, they missed a lot of 3's when they were down by 5 or 7. Tough team to go cold against, down the stretch. As this first year in the Summit is a "measuring stick", I'd say the Women's BB is measuring up to "upper half" IMHO. The Men's BB on the other hand....

Great job Ryun! Good to see the Lady Yotes have success so far this year.
