They are just as pi**ed over on the bunny board. One poster has a good point, this is all politics. The BOR is trying to keep the legislature from cutting higher ed funding, fighting just to maintain current level. In an election year, it won't help legislators if their voters see schools building sports buildings while crying about higher ed funding, even if they are privately funded John Q Voter is uninformed and doesn't know the difference.

Politics as usual. The good news is that with a combined effort by USD and SDSU pushing and lobbying to get a facilities upgrade going, I like our chances of making it happen. Hope USD can do as much prep work as possible on this project now so that they can hit the ground running when the BOR wakes up and deals with this issue.

JackJD, Thanks for refreshing my memory. I was at the presentation in Farber Hall in 2001 and found Prof. Satterlee to be right on the mark.

Hi everyone: Just came across this ESPN article from a few years ago on UNI as they transitioned from basketball in their dome to a dedicated bball/vball arena. As many have stated on this board, UNI is an excellent model athletically for us as we grow into our D1 status. es.pn/cTOh7B
