Yotes are playing well at home. With already a big win over Oral Bob this year. I think the ladies pull it out at home.
Prediction Yotes 68 Jacks 60
With several home games left, I think the Yotes have a chance at finishing second in the league.

If a Summit team can knotch an L on the Jacks, Yotes, in the Dome look as likely as anyone.
Hegge is a great player and was appropriately selected as POTW by the Summit League.
IMHO, the DEPTH of the Jacks will wear down the Yotes, and SDSU's defense has really shaped up, even more than in the SDSU/USD clash in Brookings.
Likely to be a defensive clash, and first to 60 will get W.

This is from recollection but I believe the year that SDSU won the national title in D2 they did not win in Vermillion either that or the year after. For Summit League games only SDSU did not win at Oral Roberts so I would imagine the task in Vermillion will be at least as tough. USD has not had the advantage of a really big fired up crowd for a long time. They will have that this time around. When things were stacked high against the Yotes in Brookings they played very well and almost pulled off the upset. I would think the home court in Vermillion will turn the tide enough to allow the Yotes to pull off the win.

The relevance is that no matter how good the Jacks are winning in Vermillion during the rivalry game is no small task.

The relevance is that no matter how good the Jacks are winning in Vermillion during the rivalry game is no small task. You're basing that on a sample size of ONE.....9 years ago. Got it.

She basically willed the Yotes to the W, with great defensive support by the rest of team in white and red. Good luck the rest of the season, and I hope to be reading about some USD wins in a post-season tourney.

Ryun Williams just did an interview on KWSN. A couple of things that were said was that the Coyotes did not play their best game despite getting the win. He also mentioned that the crowd absolutely effected the play of the Coyotes down the stretch. He said that when the Yotes should have been gassed down the stretch instead were energized by the crowd and might have played their best ball with very tired legs at the end. Basically the crowd and team willed themselves to the win.
Games against South Dakota State are easy to get into. What needs to happen is that we should be giving our teams similar home court advantages in at minimum the remaining conference games. We can critisize the attendance if we want to and fairly so. In reality if 2,000 fans show up charged up and ready to cheer that can make an ENORMOUS difference to the teams chances.
Next year the war cry needs to be taking the energy to every game, not just the SDSU games. The players will follow if we make it a habbit to cheer loud, especially during key moments of the game.
This last week has been a very good week to be a Yote.
