Before the Yotes pulled some of their starters this was a game that was completely dominated by the Coyotes. The final score was not indicative of the game. For the first three-fourths of the game I was rattling around the thought of whether or not the defensive performance was perhaps the best I had seen from any Coyote Women's team. The Yotes barely allowed NDSU a good look for the vast majority of the game.
Hegge is Hegge, what can ya say. She makes it look so easily. The moves she makes are practically unguardable. She has always been a good defensive players but has become an elite scorer through time.
I was very impressed with Kelly Stewart and how smooth she looks on the court. She was all over the floor on both ends and definately has a promising offensive game. The Yotes bigs dominate the paint to the point where it's almost a lost cause for other Summit teams to attempt to score inside. Unless it's wide open often it's not making it to the rim before being blocked or stolen. Ryun Williams is going a very nice job with this team. He deserves a ton of credit. The Yotes carry themselves very well on the court.
SDSU is going to have their hands full on Monday.
