Head line on the sports section is Dale Moss's workout at his proday. Well the pro day is in Vermillion and Tom Compton is the better prospect but what better way to show off your true colors Argus but to make this about SDSU first, AGAIN.
USD shouldn't even allow the Argus Leader on their campus. What a joke.
Honestly I can't even read the entire article, just the first couple of sentences but really I am better off because of it.
So how about a tip of the glass and a cheers to being locked out of reading the junk on the Argus Leader website.
So to the Argus, if you can't do it right concerning the Coyotes, why do it at all. Pull Mick from the beat and just use him elsewhere. Why bother. Let the someone like the P&D out of Yankton take the lead that actually truley cares about the Yotes.

If you read what I said again you could probably figure out whether I pay for their service or not. SDSU fans would be up in arms if they thought they were getting the short end of the stick in anything. The point is, the Argus is supposed to be at least a little unbiased when it comes to their reporting. Not the case.

All Compton was doing was position drills and bench. He had a great combine. Moss was snubbed so people had been anticipating his pro day for quite some time. I feel it was a bigger story so they wrote it that way.

Plus, TV wrote the article. He's the SDSU beat writer. Of course its going to be mostly about SDSU. Not to mention, Dale is a local kid so that also increases the interest.

The Argus has historically had a SDSU slant to it going back as long as I can remember (20-some years). If you haven't been following, USD fans are pretty much sick of the inbalance in coverage and have found other avenues for their USD news. In recent weeks the SC Journal, Yankton P&D, and the RC Journal have done nice pieces on Coyote athletics.
The Argus is missing the boat on USD readership, but I really don't think they care.

The Argus and USD are like a bad marriage waiting for a divorce to put it out of it's misery. the abuse always handed out by the Argus side of the relationship. I have been reading the articles for years and the way they are written whether it's been TV or Solari or whoever they always have a positive slant towards SDSU in the SDSU articles. In USD's articles many times Mick writing reflects a slant that is anti USD or that USD is lucky or inferior or something to that nature. Argus the time to stop pretending is now. You'd be better off to simply stop covering the Coyotes instead of constantly covering up your distain for them. Why keep Coyote Fans on a thinly frayed string. Pull Mick and put your love all the way towards SDSU. Have two beat writers for them, for crying out loud.

If nothing else, it shows the differences between the two reporters. Coverage, specifically day to day coverage, is reliant on the person, not usually the machine (though decisions are made by the editor). It's up to the person and their style. It's obvious there are huge differences.
But yes, instead of going directly to the Argus every day for sports and then whining about it, don't read it. Read another paper or whatever. It's not that hard.
"True" coyote fans, if you want to call them that, deserve better.

The only thing that will get Mick more motivated about writing USD articles is if you want to buy him a bunch of beer afterward, compare the story to Bob Dylan or see if he can turn it into a Laura Ingalls Wilder book.
If Mick used the same creativity like he uses for those, he would be so motivated.
Until then, which will never happen, Jeremy Hoeck is THE source of USD, plain and simple. Does Mick even know what a flip cam is?
