Congratulations to the coaches and all of the T & F athletes! This was a tremendous performance for their first Summit Outdoor Conference Championships. If you haven't looked at the individual results yet it is well worth the time: www.usdcoyotes.com/sports/track/release.asp?release_id=7139Coaches Gotts and Coach Huber, have done extraordinary jobs coaching T & F for USD for many years. And, to inform anyone who may not know, their respective teams just took 2nd place at the conference outdoor championships without the benefit of an outdoor track facility at USD. This great performance is another reason to support the Howling Pack, and the athletic facilities funding campaign. The new outdoor track facilities will cost about $3.5M and it would be hard to argue that any group of athletes (and coaches) deserves it more.

I would call the performance very good but not great. NDSU is still significantly ahead and for USD to be great they will need to at least beat NDSU.

Coyote Fan, you have said before that you don't care about track and don't pay attention to it, so just stay out of it. That is a big accomplishment if you knew anything about track! Congrats!

Where did I say anything about it not being a big accomplishment. I don't believe I said anything negative about the performance.

great performance by the mens and womens teams, women was expected but the men did way better than i thought they would. one question tho, how can analisa huschle win 3 single events, plus one relay, finish second in another, score 38 points for the team and not be the mvp? newcomer of the year is nice, but she was the mvp also in my opinion. way to go coyotes.

Congratulations to USD on their finish at the Summit. You finished ahead of my Jacks. That should say something. CF as usuall is pushing the envolope with with warning at 100 per cent. My karma went from -5 to -4. How do you earn the Karma points?

by clicking on the exalt or smite underneath the person's karma. Pretty good performance by the track team and NDSU is always the team to catch. Hopefully USD can close that gap soon.

CF#1 is a disgrace to this board to be quite honest. I think he has created more than one user name just so he can exalt his user name. There is no way he is a +19. He mysteriously gains karma points when he doesn't even post things.

Not that SDSU is our benchmark, even though one is lead to believe they are world beaters by reading the AL, but the USD women, who get a mention here and there from the AL, finished ahead of the SDSU women, and 4th overall in the Summit League Commissioner Cup this year. That's pretty solid for the first year in the Summit League. The men on the other hand.........
Note: This is more of a slam on our so called beat writer who would rather spend his time discussing little house on the prairie than actually doing real work. TV is very good and I wish we had him.

Looks like NDSU will have a new #1 competitor in track for many years to come. Good job USD.
