just noticed that the coyote women are getting ready for the season, and i noticed that alicia was no longer on the roster. i know she had an injury and was listed last year on the roster, does anyone know her story? she was one heck of an athlete, i just hope she is doing okay.

All I know is that she had that major knee injury a few years back and wouldn't be able to play basketball again. The operation didn't go well and she had a ton of setbacks because of it. I really feel for her because from what I know she is a great person and was a pretty good athlete. Hopefully she can get her leg close to 100 percent again.

As far as I know she is still going to school at USD. Yeah, the sports information department is REALLY bad at that and I wish they would let us know what's up.

So much of the time the University is unable to say anything due to privacy issues. They can remove some one from the roster and say "so and so is no longer playing" and that is about it. I have seen Alicia at several USD football games and am 99% certain she is still a student there. Some times it appears she still walks with a slight limp. It is really too bad that her body reacted so poorly to surgery. She was an extremely talented girl with a ton of athletic ability. I am sure she will do well in other things as well as she appears to be a pretty determined young lady.

You are right, the U cannot say much due to privacy issues. Alicia is still on scholarship and is working part time in the athletic offices and filming the women's games.
