I agree. Ryun was dealt a very difficult situation and deserves the time to get it turned around. Lavin, who I really liked, didn't leave the cupboards full when he retired. His national runner-up and last team was senior laden and he didn't go out and recruit that much for the transition. Go Yotes.

I agree completely. Williams is starting to get his players in place and hopefully the transfer, especially Yackley, can add a spark to this team that was missing with Amber Hegge as the leader last year. She needed a lot more around her, plus she just doesn't have that take over a game mentality.

I feel for Ryun a bit. The talent has just not been there. He has coached them to play their tails off on defense and they have done that to the most of their ability. The offensive skill has just not been there. USD with even a modest increase in offensive output will be a much improved team. The team also needs to be more aggressive on offense as well. Everyone wants to pass and no one wants to shoot. Hegge really needs to step up this year and start to become a better scorer. We need her to do that even if it's in a role where she only plays 20 minutes a game.

So Carsey Barden has left the team already. Anyone have any info on that situation?

Don't know why she left, but I am disappointed by this departure because I thought she was going to be a quality player for USD. I do wish her the best in whatever she chooses. Everyone has their reasons, so hopefully it all goes well for her. No reasons have been given from what I know.

I agree with yotemeal, not to mention a 6'4 presence down low with Jodie Boss. The Coyote have had anyone that tall since Mandy Koupal.

I really don't know much about Boss other than she transferred from Wayne. I wonder at 6'4" whether she will be an athletic big or a slow and clumsy. Hopefully she will use the height to her advantage but won't lose in the athletic part of the game.

Well, considering how she handled both UND's Kimbrough and Langdon in her freshman year and was a big part of why Wayne upset them last year, she is athletic. I went to that game and was impressed with how athletic she is.
Don't know if she is athletic as Koupal, but isn't that a perfect coaching fit for her at USD with her as the assistant coach?
Boss can block shots and is athletic.
