I am surprised that there is no recognition of a womens game on Sunday. It only draws attention if the game is in Vermillion? The women may have a more competitive squad in the Summit and ther is no chatter on this site?  OK I would(and your women's team) expect that this is a retired thread for the year? Help me understand the support for the women basketball??? |

I didn't get to see the women's game vs. SDSU, however, I agree with your assessment that the Lady Yotes have a Summit League-competitive squad. Much like the men's team, there are a number of Fresh(wo)men and newcomers, that by nature means they will be playing their best ball later in the season (say around March, hey, isn't that when....Yeah....Oh boy is this gonna be FUN!!)

Yeah, sorry, the women deserve a lot of recognition this year and I should've had something posted, but i got a bit busy.
Amy Williams is doing a great job with this squad and they will only get better I think.

I agree the Lady Yotes are doing well with a very young team. Despite everything state threw at them they hung tough! Go Lady Yotes!!!

Thanks to Jeremy Hoeck, here is video of Amy Williams at the Yankton Quarterback club meeting today. I think Coach Williams has done a great job working with only a couple of experienced returnees, and losing 5 players to season ending injuries. www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTy1lGo8CkQ |
