Actually, I think it's kind of nice. Need to do something to get the students involved and if this works, why not. I say go with it if the students like it.

With the exception of last Saturday, most students have a season long head start on this stupid idea. I will be cheering tonight, even on points 1-11.

I originally thought the idea was bad too, but the students seemed to like it. They went nuts on the 12th point then stood the rest of the game. Great effort by the students tonight, thanks for showing up. If only the team had shown up the second half. This was a disappointing loss.
On a side note the opposing team and coach had no idea what was going on. The crowd went nuts after the free throw to hit 12. The coach looked around and had to tell his players to calm down. Then he looked at the assistant and looked like he said something along the lines of "what is this all about."
I kept thinking we were honoring someone or something. I had to ask someone by me what was going on. Found out it was just a deal to get the students active.
