The Yotes have taken a huge step forward this year. They went from losing by double digits against IPFW to a game where they really should have won. Against Oakland what did they lose by 20-30 last year. What a turnaround. The biggest thing now is consistancy but look where this team has already come from compared to where they were when they lost to those teams at that Wyoming tourney.
I have wondered myself over the past few years if Boot's still has it in him. I have kind of waivered back and forth. This year he has done a pretty damn good job with this team. His resolve in his interviews is strong. He is about results and not excuses and has high expectations. That is why this team has come as far as they have. He has a refreshing tone to his interviews this year. That is to take nothing away from the players because a handfull have really stepped it up as well.

There was a turning point in the first half...I didn't see what started it, but there was some pushing and shoving going on after the whistle, and some heated words between the players. After the timeout, the yotes were on a mission. They kept that fire for the rest of the game.
I saw a lot of confidence in this team, even after a mini OU run in the second half and the crowd started to get loud, I was afraid we were in trouble, but we kept the pressure on. Myles hit several fade away jumpers under pressure that I never thought would fall, but they did.
it was great to be a Yote fan last night. I walked out of the arena on a cloud.
Keeping things in perspective: after Bader went cold, it was clear that this is not that great of an Oakland team..

Nice win by the Coyotes. Getting a win in the O'Rena is very difficult and the Coyotes did it in style. The bunny board has the hackneyed "naters going to nate" Point of information (I know you said nothing about the source but it seems suggested in your comment that it was something SDSU fans came up with on their own): The "Naters Gonna Nate" catch-phrase was put into play by a writer for CBSSports.com after SDSU beat Washington last season. Point taken.

Keeping things in perspective: after Bader went cold, it was clear that this is not that great of an Oakland team.. While Oakland has had some better teams, this year's team has a lot of weapons and if they put it all together, they'll win games. Consider the following: Oakland had won 10 straight home games going into yesterday's game. Oakland "falls" to 37-4 over the last 41 home games. USD fought back from a 14-point deficit in the first half. SDSU's men have never won in Oakland's O'Rena. That was a victory any team should be proud of. The Coyotes deserve a big pat on the back for that one. Here's a link to Coach Kampe's post-game press conference...no audio for the first three minutes. www.ougrizzlies.com/allaccess/?media=346265I think it was at about the 12:00 minute mark when Kampe referred to #14 (Kasperbauer) thinking he was Bader by the way he was hitting his threes. Kampe is paying a high compliment. Bader has been leading the nation in threes made. Kampe pointed out that his team did not play badly, shooting 47-48% and scoring a lot of points. But he noted USD scored something like 81 points in 29 minutes (from the point USD crawled out of the 14-point deficit in the first half). It's hard to beat a team with that kind of point production. Kampe also notes that Bader was hitting his threes and then USD made an adjustment in the zone and Bader stopped hitting.
