If this was football... coyotefan would be asking for the coach to be fired.

Yeah if it was football I would be question whether the coach should be fired because instead of 6-2 in the conference going into the game the record would have been 0-8. Just a slight little difference there.
I see you are trying to start an argument when there is no reason for you to try to be digging up stuff that doesn't belong in this thread. BTW Amy Williams has already overcome more under a more trying circumstance than Glenn overcame, that is for sure.

The crowd was 2600 which was very good.

Sounds like you had a decent crowd. It is still a good year for Amy Williams and team. I am happy we survived the dome. 7 games to take care of before the tourney in Sioux Falls.

Yes, there were injuries, but still plenty of good players. Don't know how much talent Glenn had to complete in the MVFC, but it sounds like he is getting his guys in.

Hegge and Boss both gone, plus your sentimental pick Roche. The Women lost a boatload of talent. BTW what exactly did Glenn overcome? I don't think he really overcame much of anything. Maybe that changes next year but so far no mas.
Williams vs Glenn in year #1, Williams wins by a landslide. There really is no legitimate debate to be made to the contrary.

I would choose Williams to, but to say Glenn hasn't overcome some major obstacles is pretty naive basically. There was a recent thread in the football post talking about how the linemen were out of shape. If you don't think that is a huge hurdle, maybe you should learn about football. Also, there were different player problems as well. Oh, also, if you talk to the players and coaches, they will tell you how important Roche was the past four years.

As far as Glenn is concerned don't you have to kind of win a little to be considered to overcome something. If he has issues with anything but is still losing that is not overcoming in my mind.

To clarify my previous post about a bright future, I also believe the Lady Yotes can certainly win the Summit League tourney THIS year.

Let's focus on this team winning the rest of the conf games and getting the #2 position in the tourney. If that happens, I am putting my money on the yotes to win the entire thing. This loss will not define our season.
GO YOTES!

This is from a Jacks fan so take it for what it's worth.
1) It looks like SDSU will be the #1 seed being about 3 games up with 7 to go(tiebreaker). I don't really think it makes much of a difference if USD is the 2 or 3 seed. The teams that will be 6th and 7th won't beat them and they will have the same match-up in the semi's and finals regardless. I think they will get the 2 but it really wont matter. I know that there will be more SDSU fans in SF but there will be enough USD fans that the "home court advantage" will help(if it is needed).
2) I don't know if you can really judge either of your new coaches. They both lost a lot of players so you should give them a grace period. I do think it's a lot easier in WBB than it is in football. Look at SDSU. AJ is a good coach but he wins with players from SD, Minnesota and once in a blue moon Wisconsin. The football teams have players from all over the country. Plus, the Missouri Valley Football Conference is arguably the toughest conference in the land. The Summit League isn't anywhere near that tough. Some coaches are better at recruiting, some are better at coaching and some can do both, until you give your coach a chance to do both, you really haven't given them a chance.
I think USD would have played SDSU in the championship last year and they will probably do it this year, too.
That's not saying anything about your coaches. I think they both are good but the loses to the football team will be tougher to overcome than the basketball team.
They need to get the new Arena built soon because there should be several SDSU/USD championship games players there. Most will be on the women's side but if the men ever get there, that place will be electric.

I will give CF the benefit here. Glenn has not actually overcome the challenges. However, the challenges that he NEEDS to overcome may be more significant.
Problems when he arrived - (1) out of shape players; (2) little discipline; (3) poor organization from the prior HC; (4) depleted roster, in particular a lack of experienced players in the trenches or at QB; and (5) completely mismanaged recruiting - he got some good individuals, but he didn't recruit to build up a program.
