Fun watching Jake Thomas get some playing time for Marquette in today's NCAA Tournament loss against Syracuse. Although I didn't see him make any buckets (I have to confess I was doing a little napping in there), I always thought highly of Jake and loved watching him play. Best of luck to him in his future endeavors.

I am no expert in the rules of transfer, but if he is moving, won't he have to also move down to DII, DIII or an NAIA? I thought the rule was 5 years to complete 4 of competition. Two at USD, one sitting out and 1 playing for Marquette.
If this is correct, or there is some other waiver I don't know about, then Jake's only option for D1 is Marquette.

If he has graduated he can transfer and play immediately.
