Coach Marquise Williams tweeted that the Yotes picked up 7 commitments on Saturday night. Not a bad days work. I am sure it didn't hurt to treat the recruits to a exciting men's hoops game where the Yotes took sole possession of first place in the Summit. Another great day to be a Coyote. Wow, 7 in a night? Coyote athletics are certainly on the rise.

Commit: Michael Lilly www.hudl.com/athlete/o/173944/#highlights/277384I'm not having a lot of luck with editing Pro-Boards today.......maybe it's because of my four thumbs. Based on twitter comments, from coaches and current Yotes, our current squad members have played a very positive role in helping with the recruiting process

According to Mick Garry we got a commitment from Clay Fisher out of Millard North in Omaha, NE. I hadn't seen this anywhere else.
In my opinion, this would be a HUGE get for USD, for various reasons, not the least of which is that Millard North is historically the best football program in the State of Nebraska. This could represent a sea-change away from NDSU - but that may be reaching a little far. The Fisher family is a widely respected and very athletically successful family. The oldest son was a LB for Nebraska and a great student. He is going to be a Dr. and was highly sought after by medical schools across the country. The next brother, Cole, is a sophomore LB at Iowa.
Going back to the days of Eric Crouch, Millard North head coach Fred Petito has put a slew of players into BCS/FBS/FCS programs.
His speed is impressive.

Oh wow, that's Sean Fisher's little bro? I am very impressed if he can at all live up to his brother's reputation. We even have a med school if he wants to pursue it like Sean did, forgoing his senior year at Nebraska to do so.
Millard North is notorious for feeding the Huskers, and this would be huge if he is at all like his brothers. I have some high hopes for this recruiting class, we appear to be outdoing ourselves with each passing year.

Clay is the most gifted athletically. He is the fastest of the three brothers. This year he played quarterback in Coach Petito's wingbone offense. He rushed for over 1600 yards missing two games during the season with a separated shoulder. He is a very tough young man. Between the Bellevue West and Westside games, he rushed for over 600 yards and carried the ball 92 times in two games. If he is in open space, he is very tough to run down. It will be interesting to see which side of the ball he ends up playing. He could play either way.

Looks like qb recruit Jacques Perra is taking a PWO with minnesota. He was minnesota player of the year and was coming in for a visit this weekend. Minnesota just had a web transfer out.
