No home football games should be played anywhere other than the Dome. As I've already posted USD football does have a chance for an at-large berth to the playoffs if they do not win the MVFC. Every home football game is critical to that including non-conference games. The Dome Field Advantage is too great for USD to give up.
If you want to build a presence in SF for USD football I think spring practices, even the Spring Game, are an appropriate way to do it, not extremely important home football contests.

Yote53, I'm hearing you, if all the home football games are in the Dome and we're selling out and we're competing for conference championships, at-large bids, and National Championships, I'm happy! If we can get there by keeping all FB games in the Dome, great! No arguments with that! That's the best scenario.

Thanks to all the posters who stuck up for the decision to play in Rapid City. Great marketing move and a great facility.
Hope I have better luck at the game than the last time I was at the Civic Center - sat on some bubblegum and someone behind me spilled their soda! (well, it was the Shrine Circus....).
Count me in!!

I do hope we did not give up our only home game against a respectable non conference foe by doing this. I very much like seeing teams from conferences higher on the pecking order than the Summit come to town. Last year we only had two games against D-1 teams at home in non-conference play, and I loved having those two games. Morehead and Ball State were far more exciting to host than teams like DSU or Waldorf. Man I can't wait to see the schedule for this year already....
