I had heard 500 tickets too, but when I asked the AD I was told 400. The university will sell USD v SDSU tickets after halftime on game days. You have to be in person to purchase (no phone-ins). That should have been the plan from the start. SDSU fans purchased many of the tickets released. Dykhouse purchased 400 by himself. If USD fans don't get with it, the main grandstand will be half blue. There are at least 1000 estimated tickets sold so far to probable SDSU fans. That is why the AD stopped sales and held back the rest, otherwise they would be gone. If there are still tickets available after D-Days they will open up sales via phone for the rest. Hope Yote fans step it up. Don't want to get into a pissing match over 100 tickets, but I believe the Dykhouse family purchased 500. |

Since I have been a fan I have never seen an overflow crowd but the SDSU game might test that quite a bit. What is USD going to do when all the tickets get sold. Will there be standing room only and if so how many. There is probably a policy with the fire code that would limit the bodies let in the doors. I would sure like to see the true capacity of the dome tested for that game.
