If you weren't on campus for media days, it is available for viewing via a link from goyotes.com. For those that watched...impressions?

Didn't really feel like I learned much from media day. The argus interviewed Tyler Starr on their video chat and he looks noticeably bigger. If he is healthy most of the year he will terrorize opponents. If the defense can create some 3rd and long possessions this year and he can rush the passer he will get more than the four sacks he had last year.
DL is tough and looks like it will be a weak spot again. Greer is having trouble getting eligible. The move of Praska to DL this late (they didn't move him in the Spring) makes me believe the coaching staff is pretty concerned about the interior DL depth.
Everyone says the OL is better - I have to see it to believe it.
JVM is a great athlete at QB - let's hope he gets some protection and makes good decisions. Bouma and Roberts I think are going to be a great one two approach - they are hit the hole, one cut runners. I think that will serve the offense well.
The WR corp is an unknown. Lots of new players that will need to step up. Terry should have a good year again - Koch has been a good possession receiver at times. Graham and Kornegay are highly touted.
Losing Sanders hurts the return game.
Kicking should be better this year. Punting may be about the same. (If our protection has been shored up - it could be way better)
The UC Davis game will tell all of us a lot. This will be a tough game. They are coming in with a new coach from Cal and he seems like a fiery motivated type. From reading their clippings they are fired up to turn things around. They came to Brookings last year early in the season and were in position to win the game late. SDSU only won 12-8. It will be a very tough game. Can't wait for kickoff!

I watched the Argus video feed also. Wish they would have provided more information as to which new players may help out on offense and defense but they zeroed on that.

I'm sure the blocking on punt team was a problem last year, but the speed of the snap & accuracy was also a problem. Has anyone seen the new snapper and does he have adequate velocity & accuracy on the ball?

Schad Wison #60 should snap. He's developing still.

Hopefully "developing" quickly. Getting a really good kicker/punter won't be a significant benefit if the snapper isn't ready.
