Shoulda left yesterday. Now it's too late. Rain and thunder last night and snow and thunder today. I'm in the forest (Hills) and the visibilty has only been about 100 yards most of the day. Guess I'll try again next week.
Hope we have power so I can listen to the game on KIMM 1150! Go South Dakota. Go Coyotes!!!

Just be with us in spirit. East river is obviously in much better shape. Highs in the upper 40's to lower 50's tomorrow. Tomorrow will be a day where we'll give thanks for having a dome to play in. It could be rather messy up in Brookings for their Hobo Day game. I think the game against Missouri State will be a fun one to be at with hopeful victory in site.

What the Yotes really need is to come out and put a serious beat down on someone similar to the 59 - 14 beating the Yotes put on UNO 8 years ago. A big W would do wonders for confidence and fan support going forward. Time for a little D-Days magic and keeping the Dome rocking for 4 quarters.

For those that are out of the Vermillion region we are experiencing quite the weather in South Dakota. Lead has close to 3 feet of snow and Rapid City about a foot. What is even worse is that there is a violent wedge tornado on the ground just southwest of Sioux City. It is expected to pass somewhere in between North Sioux City and Jefferson. Storm trackers saying this is a very dangerous storm as buildings/houses are being taken out etc. Sometimes events such as this give one a lot to be thankful for that are not in the path of the destruction.

For all the years of watching the Yotes that game was my single biggest jaw dropper game that I have even seen. That years offense when in the dome would have probably given big 10 defenses problems stopping it. Wes should have won the Harlon Hill award during that era but the weeker eastern divison 2 kid won it. Yes getting a win like that would be something. For those that were there I would easily take half of that games domination and put it in a bottle for this years team. As long as the Yotes can force defenses to just respect the passing game a little will open up everything. |

goyotes and coyotefan I agree with you about that UNO game. I listened to it on radio over the net and then my brother in Sioux Falls coped it off of a cable broadcast and sent me a vhs tape of it. I was just as excited watching the tape as listening to the play by play. A few weeks later I was at the Dome when the Yotes smacked the crap out of the und whoever they are's. I want to see that start happening again some time. I detest both of those jokers.
Sorry about the weather up there. I don't suppose you would like to know that it was about 88 with low humidity and light breezes here in very sunny Phoenix today. Sorry about that!
I would love to see the Yotes win this game with an early offensive explosion backed up by an opportune defense. 35 to 3 or something like that at the half would go along ways in building some quick confidence. It would be nice to have an pick 6 in that score along with getting a blocked punt or something.. It would not hurt to have Earl throw for about 250 yards with 4 TD's to all different receivers, one of them being JVM. A final of about 49 to 10 would be about just right. Then a few years from now Coyote Nation can look back on this game as the springboard to the resurgence of South Dakota football as it should and is meant to be. The Yotes will truly be South Dakota's Team. Just like USD is truly South Dakota's University.
Well my imagination might be running a little wild right now but ya know I just want to get excited again. I want to see some Coyote thermo-nuclear offense to go along with an already building Big Red Missile Defense. Come on Coyotes let's go. Get a Dakota Day win tomorrow in The Danger Dome and go from there right in to the collective minds of the rest of the conference. Oh, oh here come The Yotes.

Good call sd4ever. I'm hoping to see Earl flingin' it all over the place with JVM hauling in a TD. JVM is probably the best all around athlete on the team and we definitely need him on the field- but it's Earl's turn at QB.
I predict good passing from Earl but probably a mistake or two along the way. 27-17 COYOTES!!!

It's good to see you posting a little more lately again. Keep it up. We need more of those mushroom cloud, thunderdome etc comments. We haven't heard much of that since the d2football.com days. Maybe that is the key, ever since sd4ever stopped being creative and a sliver controversial the team has kind of nose dived. To get the train rolling again sd4ever also needs to get rolling. Maybe we take ourselves too seriously and need more lightheartedness. That seems to work pretty good. I am excited to see what kind of a game the Yotes can bring to the Dome on Saturday. Lets make it the danger dome once again.

Yea, Go South Dakota! Go Coyotes! Go Yotes! It's Dakota Day and Missouri College should not get out of The Danger Dome without getting beat up and beat down a little bit. They got lucky to escape the Good Guys last season so it's revenge time today in Vermillion. I just got done watching and listening to the Joe Glenn video not once but twice and I am fired up. I will probably do it again before the pre-game comes on KDLT. I did not realize 'coach' is such a musician. How do I get a CD of South Dakota FIGHT songs? Is such a thing available? Somebody let me know!
So I'm gonna step up and accept responsibility for the down slide of the Yote football program. I think Mr. CF is right about the old d2fb.com days. That was fun! It drove posters from other NCC teams at the time out of their collective clueless minds. I used to get PM hate mail from some of them. There were a few 'jackie' jokers still left on there at the time and they just could not deal with The One and Only, The Infamous SD4ever. When I went on sdscfans.com they ultimately had to ban me because they could not even come close to keeping up with the 'smack' of a junior higher at the time.
I guess the upset loss at Central Washington when the Yotes should have blown them away followed by the disturbing blowout on national tv in Omaha got to me a little bit. Then I'm sure everyone remembers losses that should have been wins to the likes of Cal Poly and freaking north dakota. By the way, the great wasters are really protecting the not so friendly confines of the not so alert center lately. The Yotes should really have won two straight undisputed Great West Titles.
OK I'm on a ramble but come on Coyote Nation let's get excited. Today is the beginning of a new era in winning South Dakota football. There may be a few growing pains yet ahead but I believe things are about to get better and over time, much better. How nice would it be to knock the jackies out of a playoff berth when they show up in The Danger Dome in a few weeks? Oh my! Can you imagine how their freaked out bunny fans would react on their precious little message board? It would be completely priceless.
Gotta go now, gotta go. Come on Coyotes. Makes some noise today in the MVFC. Let the likes of uni, sdsc and ndsc etc. know that your coming and your coming fast. They better watch out.

Well, it's not exactly 35 to 3 but I will take the Yotes "D" pitching a shut out so far. Nice opening drive until the pick but we got one for 6 on them which is just what I was hoping for.
Nice use of JVM for some new wrinkles on offense. Too bad some penalties have slowed us down.
I see The Good Guys pulling away late to win 23 to 7 maybe 10.
Let's Go Now Coyotes, Let's Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, where do I start? Yotes get a very big 'gut check' win that they really needed. Talk about overcoming adversity. A fumble that leads to an easy TD, another low snap on a punt that gives MSU a TD. Tyler Starr gets tossed while playing a great 'defensive player of the week' game. A high snap on the winning FG that the holder (was it Earl?) gets down in time. All kinds of bad and unnecessary penalties. A great 2 pt. conversion. Yet the Yotes got the win because they never quit.
Way to go Coyotes, Way to go!!!!!!!!
First ever MVFC win. How sweet it is on Dakota Day in The Danger Dome. Especially with the beloved jackies choking one off on dopey day in Brooksville. What did I say about knocking sdsc out of the playoffs. Please refer to previous post.
Bring on Indiana State for the next Yote VICTORY.

You gotta love it. I just went over to the jackland mb and they are already projecting that they may not make the playoffs and that they might not win their game with the Yotes in The Danger Dome.
Oh my gosh, I can't wait to read what else they're gonna say over the next couple of days. Hilarious, priceless, you name it.
