Haven't decided if I'm going to watch this yet. Is it on Midco online? Good luck tomorrow. This game worried me even before SDSU faltered this season and USD took a step forward. This will be a tough game. You're telling me you are a big enough Jacks fan to come over to the rival's message board to post on the football board but you aren't sure you'll watch the game? It's dbag State fans like you with you're backhanded comments that piss Yote fans off. Of course you'll be watching...and crying at the end of the game. |

Probably not the 54-0 beat down like last year but no way USD wins that game in Fargo. If the Bison can get by YSU then it will be an awesome atmosphere next weekend...although it will be anyway. SDSU wins this game. They have a shot at the playoffs and with that I think they bring their A-game on Saturday. Jacks 31-17 Listen, to treat your team with anything less than total respect would be a mistake. But lets be honest here, you aren't exactly dominating like you have in the past. A not so good UNI team should have beat you in your house. Missouri State was much closer than the score, and you haven't played YSU yet. Quite honestly I don't see us winning in Fargo, but to say its impossible would be a mistake as well. IF, and that's a big IF, we give State a beat down Saturday, then anything goes next weekend. We have nothing to lose, you do. I think you are one hell of a team, but not quite what you have been in the past.. I predict you won't win the NCAA title, and the only reason I do is because I don't think your team is as hungry as in the past. They were ranked #4 at the time and were healthy with no injuries. That same team w/o all their injuries would have steamrolled the Coyotes. UNI is a smash unit since the NDSU game. NDSU is not hungry like in the past...interesting. The players have said that is one of their goals this year....to win the Valley first then go undefeated and win the NC at 15-0. Well, it looks like you know something the Bison fanbase doesn't. Kudos to you. Win or lose today the Bison will be hungry for a win next week. Send the seniors out on a positive note on their last regular season home game. Well, the Bison will have a great shot at winning the NC game. You see, even with a loss, the Bison will still be a top 2 seed and that means 3 potential home games. Pretty tough atmosphere to win in for a visiting team during the playoffs. Is this USD/SDSU game sold out? What will the split be for fans? 60/40 Coyotes? |

It is Game Day! The Dome needs to be rocking all game today. Loud on all downs that the Jacks have the ball, not just third downs. Stand up, be loud, and be rowdy. I want to see the USD OL and USD Defensive front take over this game and win those battles. This was an area of weakness last year and this would be a good game to demonstrate the vast improvements for those units. This game has a lot of ways it could go - will be exciting. Fight South Dakota! Can't wait. Should be a good one. Make lots of noise! GO YOTES! |

Pissing matches between State and USD fans are so annoying. You all assume I'm (acting like I'm) not interested. This game has playoff implications. I'm definitely interested. |

With regard to the NDSU rival talk. They are rivals today, yes, sort of anyway. Usually to be considered a rival both teams need to win every now and then. But I never heard they were ever considered rivals until both went D1. Prior to move up, USD and Augie were the SDSU rivals. I saw plenty of SDSU v Augie games to attest to that. I also went to watch a few SDSU v NDSU mens BB games bad in D2 days and never ever thought NDSU was that big of a rival. IN football, State sucked in D2 days, so NDSU won every year - just like they did against USD. From 1980 to 2010 I would bet NDSU lost what - a total of 3 games to either USD or SDSU. That's not a rival. Today they are made up D1 rivals, but NDSU owns that rivalry. HATE STATE both of them! SDSU won 4 of the first 6 Dakota Marker games. NDSU/SDSU is THE rivalry among the players and coaches. It is also THE rival among most SDSU students. Will the USD game match the intensity? I think it will and I think the rivalry is coming back. But to minimize the SDSU/NDSU rivalry is missing the point entirely. USD chose to stay at D2. That choice changed the college landscape in South Dakota. Will it change back? Just got done talking to Mr. CoyoteFan. He was outside of The Danger Dome listening to some pre-game radio before going inside. CF makes a point that TDD hasn't been quite dangerous enough the last two weeks but feels that it will be a nightmare venue for the Jacks today.
He is going with 42 to 24 Yotes.
I have already called it at 41 to 21 USD.

I was talking to a Nebraska fan yesterday. He told me that when the Jacks played in Lincoln some of their fans were complaining that the Huskers never come up to play in Brookings.
That's about all you need to know folks.
