LOL
Last year State fans were on this board dogging USD for playing in sub-standard tournaments and that we should set our sights on the lowly WNIT. This year WNIT wins will provide for better seeding in next year's NCAA. WOW!!

We will also have Heidi Hoff, who was a starter prior to her injury, back next year. Next year could be the year that the Summit gets an at-large(SDSU)bid to the women's Big Dance

This year WNIT wins will provide for better seeding in next year's NCAA. WOW!! I haven't looked it up but my recollection is USD did not get invited to the WNIT last season. I understand fans from the two schools will lob a few bombs at one another but fact is, the teams in the WNIT have strong RPI ratings and any Summit team that can advance this far in the WNIT helps the overall stature of the league. SL teams have to continually strive to play tougher out-of-conference competition and win those games so that all of the schools in the conference improve significantly their RPI ratings. The idea is to have more than one team make the NCAA tourney and to have those teams have a reasonable shot at advancing in the tourney. In any event, go with what you've got. And, no matter what any fan thinks, it's my guess everyone can agree that the SDSU and USD coaches know what the goal is.

If we had played healthy all year we could be right up there too in the RPI. Doesn't matter though, got healthy and hit our stride when we needed to, made the Tourney.
Amy Williams knows how to get the team ready when it matters most, and you're a fool if you think you'll walk right by us next year in Sioux Falls. Barely missed out on winning it last year, and killed you guys on our way to winning it this year.

SDSU was bound to lose in Sioux Falls at some point. It just happened to be this year. I would say its pretty hard to win 6 consecutive conference tournaments. SDSU will have a warm-up game next year prior to the semi-final game so they shouldn't come out flat like they did this year. Once again congrats on getting to the NCAA tournament this season. Don't expect to be back there for awhile Fun Fact: The Jackrabbit women are the 1st team in the Summit to win 3 postseason tournament games in the same season.

Somehow WNIT is going to help you with seeding next year, but NCAA didn't. I am a little slow, but yeah you really cleared it up for me. Which one is the Big Dance, that's where USD will be!

Let's all record the address for this page so we can look at it next year and either 1) marvel at canislatrans's prognostication abilities or (2) realize that canislatrans's post was a warning and therefore we should not be surprised when he gets very angry if USD's women enter the WNIT and play well, going at least four games deep with wins over B1G and Big East schools.

I marvel at State College fans that feel the need to post on the Coyote message board about the Bunnies success in the consolation tournament. Granted this will be the first time in the last 4 years that the Bunnies have a better record than the Yotes in post season play, but don't except a lot of support for the Bunnies on this board.
I am sure the State College faithful are looking forward to the game against Indiana. It says something about the marketing genius of the SDSU administration or maybe about the Bunny fans that they can charge $20 a ticket and continue to attract crowds, when other consolation games are charging less than $10 a ticket.
At least if the game against Indiana is lacking excitement, the SDSU fans enjoy their favorite pastime by asking each other "Hoosier Mama"

You're playing a team that went 5-11 in their conference, a team that has a losing record, and the team that you just beat fired their coach after the loss. Stop acting like you're pulling off some impossible task. You are also playing AT HOME. Do it on the road or even at a neutral site and I'd call it impressive.
I'm very confident if we got to host these teams we would have beat them all too. Even our men's team would win pretty often if we got to host the worst of the Big Ten and Big East.
(yes it's still impressive on some level, but not nearly as impressive as making the Big Dance. Beating the dregs of power conferences at home just isn't on the same level.)

You may also say that they are 16-1 OOC as well. The Hoosiers started 14-0. If the Jacks are able to defeat IU, I would definitely say that home court is important. If you examine the WNIT schedule, the home team wins almost every time. Check the Midco station through Sunday afternoon and enjoy the game. It may be a consolation tournament, but SDSU is making the most of this experience much like USD did last year in the WBI.

Don't know how to quote from another thread but, there's this: canislatrans Apr. 9, 2013 @ 6:44am jackl, I would start to pay attention to CBI and WNIT, gonna be a big part of the Bunnies future. You can look it up, and by the way if USD plays in the WNIT, or the WBI, or any other postseason tourney and it brings in revenue, and I can see it on the internet or TV, there'll be no angry complaints from canislatrans. I also won't be posting on the bunnies fan board, if there is such a thing.
