Any success from any Summit League team in any post season tourney, even the consolation tourneys; WNIT, WBI, NIT, CIT, CBI, is good for the league's hopes of eventually getting at-large bids to the main events.

Agree. As much as it pains to say, State at a high 40's rpi could easily have received an at large. Good luck

Hey, as long as we were the ones that get to go to the Big Dance I'm good. Go on and win the WNIT now.

Midco will carry the Minnesota at SDSU game. SDSU is 4-1 all-time against Minnesota. Minnesota appeared once in Frost: 1978 (may have been the old AIAW days...just before the NCAA brought in women...ancient history, and, unfortunately, I was around in those days although in 1978 I was at USD Law watching Yoteforever and his football team kick the crap out of the NCC).

Great showing by the Summit League, beating another Big Ten school. Incredible run by the Jacks.

SDSU next hosts Indiana Sunday at 2:00. We had 3320 at tonight's game and should easily exceed that crowd Sunday. Indiana is playing well right now but has an RPI of about 89 while SDSU'S RPI is in the upper 40s. Last appearance for the Hoosiers at Frost was in the WNIT a number of years ago...Jacks won that game.

Somebody remind me again; why are the Bunnies playing in the consolation bracket.

Somebody remind me again; why are the Bunnies playing in the consolation bracket. Because SDSU (a much better team then USD this year) we're incredibly inconsistent. The WNIT run is exactly what this program needed. After 5 consecutive trips to the NCAA tournament it was time to again get a feel for winning in the post season. Beating major conference teams is not an easy task. I understand that USD wouldn't know much about that since you rarely schedule any, but it is very difficult. If we beat Indiana Sunday we will be 3-0 against the Big 10 and 3-0 against the Big East, this year. When our Women qualify for their sixth NCAA tournament next year the run in the NIT, and the wins during the season and in post season against major conference opponents will help us get a better seed. It has also energized our fan base again. That was necessary, far more necessary then another 12 seed and one and done in the NCAA tournament. That is likely what would have happened this year due to the previously mentioned inconsistent play. Our program is way beyond moral victories. I get that USD fans were excited about upsetting SDSU, qualifying for the NCAA tournament and playing within 20 points of a top 10 team. The SDSU Women's program is beyond that. Yes, we do intend to win the Summit again next year. We are re-loading and AJ has one of his best recruiting classes coming in as Freshmen. We will once again be the favorite to win the conference. USD will come in 2nd or 3rd in the voting.

Bottom line is the Coyotes went to the NCAA's and SDSU went to the NIT. Better luck next year.

I think state is playing mad since the Yotes dominated them in the tournament which is logical. The top women's teams in the Summit are very competitive nationally compared to the men. I believe the Summit women should have an automatic at large bid to the NCAA. JF29 I understand you're proud that your team is winning now and you should be but it is against weaker D1 teams in the WNIT. They didn't do very well when they lost to Notre Dame by 40.

We are a lot better of a team..we beat you for the championship. No matter the previous games, we won the only one that mattered. Now for next year is where I totally disagree. We have an amazing group of girls coming in also, and lose on player. 1. Polly was a big part of this team but I feel like with a lot of work Margaret McCloud will replace her very well. I think USD will not be the favorite and be second or third, but we will win it again. The less pressure the better.
