Today the Yotes take on the Cardinal of Stanford. This will be a challenging game to say the least. The game is carried exclusively on the Pac12 network, which unfortunately is only available on Dish network in our area as far as I can tell. Anyone know of an establishment in Vermilion carrying the game? Would like to watch after the volleyball match at 1:00.

Any of the bars with Dish would absolutely have this one on. I know OLC and Varsity have Dish, and I wanna say Leo's does as well

They really looked like they were playing their asses off. I think this staff will make them a tough team. Excited to see the improvement as they get more games under their belt.

Got it down to a 6 point deficit with about 7 minutes left. Stanford made 38 of 46 free throws.
The box score showed that Thoseby didn't play tonight.

That was one hard fought game by our guys, I absolutely love the effort we saw here tonight. This Stanford team was in the Sweet Sixteen last year, and we had the deficit at single digits into the final minute. Fighting back from that halftime deficit was very impressive, clearly this team is never going to give up on any game.
It's going to be really fun watching these guys come together as a team over this season. Game two and they're already looking like a gritty bunch!

Can we get CF in here to start the fire Craig Smith movement going? 0-2..wow. On a serious note though, 2 things that stood out to me that alot of you have pointed out. #1 is defense, which clearly is night and day from the previous couple of seasons. The second thing is turnovers, we took care of the basketball against what is expected to be an NCAA tourney team(Sweet 16 last year). Looking forward to the Yotes come conference time as this team continues to "buy-in" and improve over the next few months.

I thought it was a very encouraging performance. Thought Sparks battled well down low all night. Thought we executed the doubling game plan well also. Definitely made it hard for Stanford.
Again had a minor frustration with a small in game adjustment, would have liked to see us push Nastic to use his left hand, right shoulder on the block. Did not see him go left hand once. Think we perhaps could have forced him to be a little more uncomfortable. Not to take anything away from a great game. This is me nit picking which in all honesty is bad on my part.
To echo others.... Very excited to see where this group can go.

The team has played pretty well. I like the defense we are playing. Once we get out of playing these bigger schools, hopefully we won't be called for so many fouls. I really like how our new PG plays.

I'm just not into moral victories anymore. We need to start winning these types of games. Blah, blah, blah...

Utah Valley was one we probably should have had but Stanford was always going to be difficult for us. It was a sweet 16 team that had a lot returning this year. They look like they will be solid and will get these games when we get into confernece play. Still pretty early though.

Stanford will be a contender in the PAC 12. But we should have won against Utah valley, they aren't near as good as last years team and we beat them last season. Utah valley lost last night to eastern Washington 75-50!! 75-50!!
