I have watched every game but the Youngstown game either online or in person. The frustrating common theme in all of them is how they consistently make the big plays to pull within reach but the ones to take them over the top have seemed to elude them. I firmly believe they will take that next step and learn from these. However, you can go back through each of their losses, especially on the East Coast and in Utah, where they had opportunities and the ball and the bad things happen. Then, the next trip down when they are 1 or 2 possessions behind, they make a great play or shot to put themselves right back in it.
I swear this team has taken years off my life already in these first 10 games.

How's recruiting going so far for your 2015 men's class jackl? Have anyone signed yet?
Your time for celebrating yourself is coming to a close. You may be eating your words by the time 03/01/15 rolls around for both the men's and women's teams. Hopefully our women's team does not meet you in the Summit League tourney again this year. If so your girls might have another ""MORAL VICTORY"" 14 point loss coming.

I almost forgot about that. Careful tho ctc2010 those are words we put into state fans mouths. None of them or their "Most Famous Alumni" working at the Mitchell Daily Repuplic ever said that.

sandakotastate if you would like to compare a program with a new head coach and staff and 8 new players out of 15 then the RPI rankings above say it all.
What tough game has state played so far? And dont say FGCU in the Pentagon or you mind as well not reply. Whats your signature win since you are so powerful with this RPI this year you're referencing? Is it North Dakota 3-5, UMKC 3-7, Saint Louis 5-4 or one of you 2 games versus the D2 opponents?
If I remember correctly RPI only counts D1 wins so you are 3-3 as far as RPI is concerned.
You also didnt answer my question. How's the 2015 recruiting going? Have anyone signed yet?
And dont worry. Our girls are at your same level right now (arguably ahead this yr) and the men's recruiting class coming in looks stronger than yours right now. It we will be sooner than you want which was the point of the original post.

After that performance in front of a hostile crowd I am really hoping the Yotes take down UNLV on Saturday. I can't wait until this team really starts to come together during conference play, might finish in the top 3.

One thing was apparent in the game last night. We need Flack badly, the small lineup was scrappy, but Sparks did not impress me and we need help on boards and interior D. In due time our guards will not be able to keep up their rebounding numbers.

One more positive from this game - recruiting. We were watching in PHX so I assume it was available across the country.
As the admitted underdog, the Yotes played well, and the commentators mentioned numerous times how Smith & Co. had the team ready to play. All good stuff for potential recruits.
