In mens action
IUPUI 44 at NDSU 48 with 1:48 to go. NDSU can't shake IUPUI. The Bison may have a long home court winning streak but aside from the Coyotes they barely win every game.
Oral Roberts 64 at Omaha 63 with 6:27 to go. If Oral Roberts should lose it would make the Coyotes have a lesser chance of playing IPFW in the first round which I really don't want at this point.
IPFW 28 at Denver 23 at half. Close game. Denver has been a pretty big disapointment this year.
In womens
Oral Roberts 66 at Western Illinois 58 with 1:07 to go. If I am the Yotes I want no part of ORU in the first two rounds of the tourney. There is a good chance they could be a second round opponent. Maybe they will play themselves into the 3rd seed with W Illinois and IUPUI having tough schedules down the stretch.

Final in mens
IUPUI 48 at NDSU 57. IUPUI pushed the Bison but NDSU escapes again. They sure do know how to win even if it's not always pretty.

Oral Roberts 70 at Omaha 68, the Mavs are hanging in there but can they pull it out in the end. I can't trust Omaha in a tight game decided in a half court situation. 3:58 to go

Final in mens IUPUI 48 at NDSU 57. IUPUI pushed the Bison but NDSU escapes again. They sure do know how to win even if it's not always pretty. With a win on Saturday USD would at least clinch the fifth seed. I'm holding out hope for the third seed, but that might be a stretch with ORU poised for a win tonight.

Omaha is not done yet. they have rallied late to get with 77-76 with 20 seconds to go. ORU was just up 6 or 7.

Final
Oral Roberts 81, Omaha 78. The Mavs can't help out the Yotes. I didn't think they could be trusted in a tight game. What a terrible season for the Mavs. They were supposed to be pretty good but now they are 3-11 in the Summit.
IPFW 41, Denver 34 with 10:39 to go. The Dons are back in control.

Since the Coyotes are battling ORU and IPFW for spots 3-5 I figured I would post each teams schedules down the stretch
Oral Roberts: at SDSU, vs NDSU, vs Denver IPFW: at NDSU, vs Omaha, vs Western Illinois USD: vs IUPUI, vs Denver, vs SDSU
Oral Roberts probably has the toughest go so that would make them getting the #3 seed least likely IPFW has two gimme games to end the year at home. With a win at Denver they are likely looking at no worse than the #4 seed USD has all three games at home which is not necessarily a good thing.
My prediction is that IPFW gets the 3 seed, USD the 4 and Oral Roberts the 5.

Whatever happens please no USD vs IPFW in the 4/5 matchup. No kidding. I believe we are seeing the IPFW we expected this season as they are on their way to a 7th straight conference win. That 1-5 start to conference play isn't much more than a memory now. They may just storm their way back to the SL title game.

52-38 IPFW is just pulling away from hapless and disappointing Denver team. I guess being in the Mountain time zone is not a good thing for the vastly over rated mens and womens programs for the Pioneers. Both have underachived. The Denver men were high in the pre season poll and the women were coming off a tourney final appearance. At least they both figured out a way to win one from each SDSU team. Those two games for the Jacks could prevent both from winning conference titles.

Denver is about to go to 4-9 in the Summit. Hopefully they continue their disinterested play coming to the dome next week. 60-40 now for the Elephants. It's a blowout in the mile high city.
