IPFW goes to Fargo this weekend. That will be interesting. That could be the team to end the home winning streak for NDSU.

Final
IPFW 63 at Denver 47 so that puts a wrap on the league for the night.
Neither Omaha nor Denver could help out the Yotes tonight as SD is still in 5th place.

I see IPFW is at NDSU and ORU at SDSU in MBB today. Those are tough places to play, if the Yotes win today it could result in a 3 way tie for third if things bounce our way.

ORU should lose for sure tonight but IPFW has a fighting chance in Fargo. I believe the Coyotes own the tie breaker with ORU if they can beat the Jacks to end the season. If ORU loses to NDSU at home I believe the Yotes would still own the tie breaker with ORU even if they lost to SDSU. My feeling is that the Eagles will lose to both SDSU and NDSU and the Coyotes will win 2 out of 3 at home to force a tie with them in the standings. The Coyotes win the tie breaker but it is irrelevant because they would both be slotted in the 4/5 spot anyway. I guess the tie breaker would determine who wears white and that is about all it would decide. I will be cheering for NDSU to somehow win out and get help from USD in knocking off the Jacks. I want NDSU in the same half of the bracket just because the Coyotes will not have to face the Jacks and their practical home court advantage in the Summit Tourney.
As the season wears down here is the schedule for today in the Summit League
Women
NDSU at Fort Wayne at 1PM - IPFW gave the Yotes and Jacks all they could handle so it would not surprise me if they won the way NDSU has been playing
Oral Roberts at IUPUI at 1PM - big game for tourney positioning - ORU is definately still in the hunt for the #3 seed but a loss here would really hurt.
South Dakota at South Dakota State at 4:30PM - the obvious showdown game of the week. This is probably the biggest game of the week for either the men or women in the Summit
Denver at Western Illinois at 4:30PM - neither team has been lighting the world on fire as of late but expect the Leathernecks at home to rebound and take a fairly comfortable win out of this one
Men
Fort Wayne at NDSU at 2PM - very intriguing game for sure - this will test both teams streaks, IPFW's overall win streak and NDSU's home streak.
IUPUI at South Dakota at 2PM - will there be any Coyote fans for this one that are not up at Frost today. The men are taking an obvious back seat to their women counterparts today. This is definately a revenge game.
Denver at Western Illinois at 7PM - the who cares game of the week. Neither team is a factor in the conference race. Lucky for both that they are even allowed to participate in the tourney in Sioux Falls.
Oral Roberts at South Dakota State at 7PM - the night cap of a big double header in Frost today. I don't expect the Eagles to give the Jacks much of a game but I hope I am wrong.
Some things could sort themselves out a bit after today on both the mens and womens side of the league.

I want NDSU in the same half of the bracket just because the Coyotes will not have to face the Jacks and their practical home court advantage in the Summit Tourney. You are on a roll today. Are you seriously complaining about the SLT being in Sioux Falls and how it's a home court advantage for SDSU? Vermillion is just as close to Sioux Falls. Sorry that USD fans don't show up....

In mens
NDSU beats IPFW 66-62. I think that result is probably for the best for the Coyotes.

in Womens
I don't know the score but Oral Roberts was hammered on the road at IUPUI today. I am a little worried about IUPUI coming into Vermillion on Thursday. They whipped the Yotes in Indiana and come in playing well obviously. If the Yotes win today the game won't matter as much but at least if the Yotes lose they will come out with a chip on their shoulder against the Lady Jaguars. I would rather the IUPUI game be first with Western Illinois second. Western Illinois doesn't scare me quite as much.

In Womens
NDSU won at IPFW 72-66 - The Bison try to get some momentum back heading to the tourney.

I don't think the results for tonight on the mens side are very favorable for South Dakota.
IPFW was upset by Omaha at Fort Wayne ORU blew out NDSU in Tulsa
ORU moves up to the #3 seed. It's looking like USD vs IPFW in the first round. Ouch.
Damn by beating Denver the Coyotes could have really been in line for the #3 seed.

I would have preferred a game with ORU as well, but IPFW isn't the end of the world. We beat them once already this season and can certainly do it again.

I may need to end up amending my last comments. IPFW can still pull into a tie with Oral Roberts for third if they beat Western Illinois on Saturday and Oral Roberts loses to Denver at home. The way Denver has been playing lately they could pull off that upset. Both IPFW and ORU split with each other but IPFW split with SDSU whereas Oral Roberts was swept by them. I believe that would give the tie breaker to the Mastadons.
