I have seen Adam play for two years. My thoughts:
1. He has had a chance in every workout and practice since last spring. We've hired a head coach and 3 assistants who are all winners everywhere they have been. If he was THAT good I'm guessing he would have played more.
2. He needs to find a better fit, somewhere they do not place any value on defense and toughness. Definitely not a GATA guy like Smith preaches and wants.
3. He is a really good kid. Wish him the best!

I would love to see some examples of this toughness and defense that is being spoken about here. It all seems to be words with no real example. Doesn't seem like the type of kind of guy to not want to get better. At the end of the day, he didn't have an opportunity at all. He played one game, proved himself and didn't play again. There is clearly something more here than meets the eye. pumpernickel, did you see the Drake scrimmage? He played very well during that, actually looked like the best player on the floor. I find your comments on "defense and toughness" quite obscure. He showed a hell of a lot of toughness this year dealing with what he was put through, when he clearly should of been playing. I thought his lead to turn around the Wofford game was just another example of this. Give the kid a chance, he always produced. I hope he never comes back here to play us. Good first post too coach!

Aren't those scrimmages closed to the public? So of course none of us saw the scrimmage. And still, it's a scrimmage.

I thought it was meant to see who was going to be able to perform.

This needs to end. Adam has been released and is moving on. The team is moving on. So should we.
I hope Adam does well in the next chapter of his life.
