Bunnies hanging in there against Wayne St only down 4 at the half. Wow. I'm not one for putting stock into lower division games, but yikes!

I wonder who would win a game between Wayne State and Presentation College. It would probably be a pretty good game. If they had a holiday invitational where the Summit teams played the lower division teams the standing would look at such. Coyotes 2-0 Jacks 1-1 Presentation 1-1 Wayne State 0-2 Well I am being sarcastic, or am I.

Sdsu's guard play is a mess. Behind Daum and Telly, they don't have much right now. We will see how some of these guards develop over the next month or 2.

Without going through old posts, does anyone remember off the top of their head how much TJ is making at that northern school vs Smith at USD?

Thanks. I couldn't remember the $ amounts, but I knew they went overboard in the hire up north.

Thanks. I couldn't remember the $ amounts, but I knew they went overboard in the hire up north. It seems like they kind of had tunnel vision towards him from the very beginning. I wonder how seriously they considered the other candidates. Of course it is still early but not the start the Jacks were wanting to get off to. It's about time they start feeling some pain up north again with their main sports. They have been kind of spoiled lately and as I have been hinting it is time for the Coyotes to start becoming the force in South Dakota. Stig is getting up there in age so he wouldn't figure to be there a whole lot longer. With Amy going to Nebraska considering how similar her situation was to Johnston's you would think that would kind of be a motivating factor for him to maybe consider moving on himself. Her salary is now quite a bit bigger considering she has coaches at the D1 level for quite a few years less then Aaron. That has to at least strike some kind of a nerve with him at least a little bit. Everyone has personal pride.

I'm seeing that IPFW is hosting #3 Indiana, a team receiving first place votes in the AP poll, tomorrow night. How in the name of Bobby Knight did IPFW swing that one? IPFW has had good teams in recent years but I doubt most in Indiana are even aware that there is a D1 school in Fort Wayne.

conference games tonight
Men
SDSU at Idaho Oral Roberts 47, Montana 68 at paradise jam - not good for the Golden Eagles as that was Montana's first win ORU is now 1-4
Summit League Standings
South Dakota 5-0 North Dakota State 4-1 Fort Wayne 2-2 IUPUI 2-2 Denver 1-1 South Dakota State 1-3 Omaha 1-3 Western Illinois 1-3 Oral Roberts 1-4
Despite my wait and see outlook it sure does seem like the door is open for a big move up the standings for the Coyotes. The Summit seems to be down from last year so far. This might be a good year for the Coyotes to break out of it and be a good basketball team.

While it was Montana's first win, their four losses were against high majors if I remember correctly. Still not a good result for ORU to lose by 20 points to a school in a peer conference.

I'm watching IPFW playing #3 Indiana on Direct TV . They (IPFW) are the home team and looking very impressive. They've been up by as much as 10 and are still leading: up by 5 with about 3 minutes to go in the 1st half. They may ultimately lose but watch out for this team.

curiously how is the fan ratio. I would imagine that it is probably at least half Hossier fans if not more. Impressive start for the Mastadons.

Watching on TV it looks as though the place is packed. The venue has quite a BB history as I understand from the announcers. I'd say it's about 50/50 maybe 60/40 in attendance favoring the home team. Exciting game.
Indiana is starting to come back and I assume will win but they had a lot of ground to make up. Great game so far....
The Mastodons are very quick.

I've seen just the first 4 minutes of the second half, but that arena is absolutely electric. Incredible environment from my perspective on the couch.
Can not believe Indiana actually agreed to this one. Seems like a no-win situation for them.
