I agree about the bad refereeing - equally appalling both ways. But what I haven't seen any chatter about over the course of the season and after this game is why allow meaningless offensive movement for huge chunks of game. Consistently. We are up 9 in the first half and start doing our now traditional dribble drive weave motion to nowhere. Nobody is looking to do anything with the ball except move it side to side. Then a 3 at the end of the clock or an iso. Why not get cutters off that action or slot a post-up in the midst of the motion? A high pick and roll off of it? We must have gone 20 straight minutes like this in the middle of the game and it happens many games. The only guys we have that in my opinion we can constistenly iso are Burnette who is always on the bench in foul trouble and Shy who can't consumate the deal because of freethrow woes. Usually in the first ten minutes we get to see a couple Jech post-up moves. Generally successfully. Then no Jech down low for the rest of the game. I know he needs strength which will come with time but he's got solid moves and uses both hands and looks to be a natural scorer. Why not explore that option more consistently? And Hagendorn - in one game, maybe Milwaukee, looked like the best player on the floor, but before and since then doesn't seem like he thinks he has a green light to be aggressive to the hoop. I know these guys are freshmen but then I watch the Dohm (sp) on SDSU and I'm wondering why he seems to integrate so easily comparatively. Maybe he is a bad example because I realize he played his best game in front of us. Rant over but as we are getting deep into conference play I don't see improvement on the floor. Maybe the opposite. Like the way they work hard and love the inspiration from the coach but don't feel like the offense stays fluid through the course of a game. On a side note loved to see Sparks and Flack out there again. Much needed boost of size and athleticism, respectively. Great post Yotes. It hasn't been mentioned on here, but I thought Tyler Flack's dunk should be a USD basketball recruiting highlight. It reminded me of the dunk Treyvon Wright had on us that Midco used among several other highlights to advertise the Summit League a few years ago...only Tyler's was multiples higher in intensity.

The putback dunk was quite impressive. I was not expecting that one at all. It is great to see Flack playing more and hopefully he will get even more minutes going forward.
Oop is at :52 Putback is at 2:16

Thanks for posting the link and the notes on where the dunks were. The USD SID folks are really doing a nice job with the stats and highlights.

Are there any videos of the post game press conferences or does USD not post them on youtube?

Caseys flop was pretty obvious. I also liked it when he was complaining after he made made 3 and he fell down and wanted a foul because he initiated the contact with Parks. Can't stand watching players flop (even when SDSU players do). They are cheating the game. Which play are you referring to? The one where he was down on the court for a while? I was referring to the play in the 2nd half (about the 9 minute mark) where Telly was posting up on Casey and he flopped. It was a no call (which was the right call). The play when Casey hit the floor was unfortunate. But he got knocked into King by another USD player. There was to much contact for the refs not to call that. Glad he wasn't seriously hurt.

With a competitive game like this one, everyone on both sides was edgy and the refs seemed to call them all. Did not miss any fouls that I can tell. Norris did a real comical jig when he forced Marshall to turn the ball over, not sure what Norris did but it seemed to work that one time. The announcers just said it was a turnover and never explained what it was that he done to make the turnover. Did anyone else notice what he did. Marshall apparently took too many steps which is high unusual. The refs did not miss anything. Not sure which one you're talking about. The turnover near halfcourt (not sure who it was) was a travel and the one near the end of the game the player stepped out of bounds It was the one near half court and Norris seemed to make a big deal of it and it was as Marshall does not travel often. Just two guys who have mutual respect having some fun.
