Just curious what are some of your thoughts on showboating like Trey Norris did the other day during the game when he made a 3. (Marshall went on to make multiple 3's in his face after that.) It also wasn't the first time he has done that against SDSU this year (Norris did a little dance after he got Marshall to travel in Vermillion). Is it a thing he just does against SDSU or does he do that kind of stuff every game?

I think Trey was just pointing towards the sky to remind a certain former administrator where to ask forgiveness from.

Put those together and I guess he felt the need to throw up three fingers. I've never seen him do anything like that but it is a good way to draw the ire of the home crowd.

I think the team was just in a grove at that point and put 3 fingers up. I've certainly seen worse. Casey's was probably uncalled for though and in my opinion, he "showboated" more than Trey. As far as the one in Vermillion, he forced a big turnover by playing tough defense late in the game. Please forgive him for being pumped up.

I watched the play for the turnover on Marshall and one had to understand the good feel Norris would have forcing the travel with good defense.

Not a Norris fan, but he didn't do anything too terrible. No different then Devine dunking over a dude and then reacting by slightly chest bumping him. Just caught in the moment. Casey's was worse, but he was caught in the moment too. I personally think Caseys better than that (not that I know him).

But for the record, when Wolters played in Vermillion and made a three, he would go down the sideline in front of the court side ticket holders doing the "exaggerated head nods" and chirp to some of the people in the seats. I didn't like that either, but again, competitive people get caught up in the moment. Any of these situations we are talking about pale in comparison to the junk you see on TV with pro athletes. Hell, it could be 2nd down and 14 and someone gets. sack....you would think they just won the Super Bowl and it's only the third game of the year. This constant show boating is BS. But that's where kids today get it from in my opinion. If I officiated, I would give about 10 technicals a game till it stopped, but that's just me. In our era, we would've been yanked out of a game for crap like that in a New York second.

Wait a minute, Nate Wolters would chirp a bunch of old guys sitting courtside during a game? What a tool.

As if you wouldn't trade four years of ANY player on USD's roster over the past 10 years for four years of Nate Wolters. Making fun of a guy who has accomplished more in professional basketball (regardless of where he is now) than any recent Coyote ultimately insults USD more than it insults Wolters.

An Augie fan sticking up for State? Laughable Mostly sticking up for reason. Anyone with any reasonable thoughts about basketball recognizes that making fun of a guy whose professional resume is better than anything that fan's alumni have accomplished is silly. I don't really care about SDSU either way (although I'll admit I dislike USD more than I dislike SDSU...the Augie/USD rivalry was a lot more passionate when I was in school), I just noticed the comment and took a second to call out that it's essentially more USD-insulting than SDSU-insulting. On a side note, is Wolters actually in Uzbekistan? If he isn't, then Uzbekistan was might be the funniest choice of country possible, so I do commend yote14 on that part of the comment.

Plenty of Coyotes play overseas just like Wolters. I guess I am not too jealous of the games he played over a season for the Bucks who had the worst record in the NBA that year. It was cool to see him get drafted though. I think Nate is playing in Turkey, but I'm not positive.
PS - It doesn't bother me if he smacked some donors on the floor. The guy is a competitor and got into the moment. I'm sure some Yotes have done the same thing over the years.

USD has had players go on to play professionally in Europe going back many, many years, even back to the D2 days. So saying that Wolters has done more in professional basketball than any other USD player in history is false, or did you mean the cup of coffee he got with the Bucks? Either way, no matter what his talent is or whatever he achieved I still think the guy is a grade A tool for chirping a bunch of grey haired donors sitting court side.

To be fair, I recognize that Augie hasn't had any NBA players since Brent Szabo (yes, this guy: 4.bp.blogspot.com/-AfqOQDhsIkU/Tf2A_RlbgKI/AAAAAAAAAmo/JBUBGeGVgT0/s1600/brett+szabo+3.jpg) who played for the Celtics in 1996-97, so it's not like I'm coming on here saying Augie is better or anything. I just found the mockery of Wolters to be funny when he was incredibly good and noticeably better than any of USD's recent guys that I can think of.
