Why is the REF Kelly Pfeifer from south Dakota reffing this title game? ? That technical was a 5 point swing and awarded the game to sdsu. Just a joke. Check the video out horrible www.facebook.com/bisonation1psst. Pfeifer wasn't the one who called the "T"....Paul Miller was the who got T'ed up. He shoved Bittle after a foul was called. It was deserved if you watch the replay. The refs are assinged from the Summit League/NCAA. They are not biased. Take the glasses off and actually watch the game.

As a fairly neutral observer in this conversation, I can chime in and assure you that Kelly's home town/home state has absolutely nothing to do with how he officiates games. I've seen a number of his calls in key moments go against Augie and in favor of programs from non-SD states (like just about every Minnesota school in the NSIC). Then again, maybe he just doesn't like Augie. Lots of people don't. Either way, as mentioned, he wasn't the ref who called the technical anyway, so it's kind of a moot point. On a side note, even if Kelly's home state did influence his officiating, it still isn't as bad as what NSIC schools deal with. Tom Mauer has been reffing NSIC games forever and he's the CURRENT assistant athletic director at Concordia-St. Paul: cugoldenbears.com/mobile/staff.aspx?staff=3Tell me that's not ridiculous.

I thought Miller deserved the technical at the end of the game. It's a tough call to make at that point in the game for something that was not over the top aggressive but you just simply have to be smarter than that in that situation. He clearly went out of his way to shove Bittle.

Just saw this. Funny how SDSU fans are perfectly okay with booing Nicole Seekamp during lineups

My mother always told me that instead of saying something mean it is better to say nothing at all. Looks like Bison fans were just practicing mom's advice. Don't really see anything wrong with it and find it kind of clever, better than chanting expletives. Next year they need to go with a "reading the newspaper" routine.

This is what opposing, college-aged fans do. If people continue to overreact about petty stuff like this, college basketball will soon go the way of the ridiculous Wisconsin High School Basketball sportsmanship rules: www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/wisconsin-high-school-chant-ban_us_56965df3e4b09dbb4bad5923As the article puts it:

Those are some ridiculous rule changes. Are you sure that is from the state of Wisconsin? It seems more like something the crybabies in Brookings would do. Hopefully WI residents do not start boycotting stores on either side of the topic.

Just saw this. Funny how SDSU fans are perfectly okay with booing Nicole Seekamp during lineups This is really funny. I haven't been to Frost since started playing in division 1, but their student section used to always do this. They would either turn their backs to the court, or they would all be holding up newspapers. So funny how times have changed. This also happened earlier this week at a high school basketball game in SD and someone took a picture and wrote a letter to put in the Rapid City Journal.

I'm guessing what happened is that this person's only basketball intake this year was at the tournament

People are way too sensitive about things sometimes. What goes on is nowhere near what used to go on. I remember all kinds of juvenile behavior in the USD student section when I went to school. I used to be part of those that would tear apart stuffed animal rabbits in the stands. I think maybe everyone has swayed a little too far to being too polite. It used to be kind of fun to watch some of the behavior that used to go on. I never had a problem with most of what went on. Now if a player got hit by a glass bottle of something that is way too far but chants and things like what the NDSU fans did in turning their backs is really not that big of a deal.

It's embarrassing how much you guys whine about the refs. It's truly something to behold. You even whine about them in games you aren't in. You lost the game.
