It's all set and it's gonna be a memorable Saturday afternoon in Vermillion.

Another conference that's never made the final before. I'd say the Atlantic Sun is lower on the totem pole than the Summit too

Florida Gulf Coast is 33-5 and finished 13-0 in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Their RPI is 71. The Atlantic Sun RPI is 28 and the Summit is 18. Quite a big difference there. Just by looking at the brackets I would say USD's road has been a little tougher and The Eagles don't have a South Dakota State to deal with in their conference. I believe Florida Gulf Coast if not currently was ranked #1 one of the mid major polls at one point. The Eagles only played 7 players against Michigan. There are alot of similarities between Oregon coming in and FGCU coming in but the biggest difference is that the Ducks were a little higher potent on offense and the Eagles a little tigher on D. It didn't look like in their semi-final matchup that FGC was so tight on D that the Yotes couldn't get good looks if they moved it around.

Whitney is a beast. Great size and a quick accurate release from the 3. Will be important to smother her on the 3 and make her drive for her points. If like to see Kelly in her face past 20 feet. Tia should be able to contain Atwater with her quickness to the basket.
Our posts should have more opportunity for success this game.
One other player could nail the 3 really well.
Limit turnovers.
This should be a fun matchup.

They finally have the minutes breakdown in the game. Michigan played 9 players and their bench played 45 minutes. Here is the breakdown for the Eagles. Not quite the Ducks but not far off either.
Starters: 38, 36, 34, 32, 18 Bench: 27, 15
So for everyone going to this game make sure you do everything the same as far as pre game rituals. Wear the same clothes, park in the same spot, listen to the same pre game music, Eat the same meal, drink the same beer etc.

Is tailgating going to be going on? I'd be all for some of that.

Good luck, especially to your seniors who now have that rare opportunity to end their college basketball careers with a win.

I would like to see the Coyotes extend their defense way out to the perimeter players like they did against Oregon. Give them at least some token pressure in their back court to make them expend energy. Florida Gulf Coast is probably going to have one basic thing in mind and that is to defend the three point line. That is ok because Seekamp and the Yotes can drive, McCloud and Fogg can tear them up inside. One of the best qualities of the Coyotes is their versatility. They can win any kind of a game but a high energy one would be the best way to go. The Yotes were often looking to push the ball up the court against the athleticism of Oregon so they should be able to do this again on Saturday.

We are officially down to just single seats available in the bleacher sections. We appear to have a sellout on our hands folks. I never thought I'd see the day that the dome sold out for a basketball game.

Where was all this excitement during the SLT the past 2 years?
Get this kind of excitement going during the SLT and the tournament will be that much better.

We've had this discussion... the WNIT games are at night and during the weekend. Unlike State fans, we work during the day in the middle of the week.

FGCU had 4600 people at the game tonight and it set the record for attendance for them. Playing in front of 7000 Coyote fans on Saturday will be quite a difference. Just from watching tonight, containing Whitney will be a key. She seems to be the play maker for them. The Coyotes are a deeper team and I think that will be a huge advantage come the second half on Saturday.
