Our board is the only place you can have a rebuttal, if you try to comment back at anything over there on the bunny board crazy uncle filbert gives you a lecture and a stern warning to stop talking smack and then he bans you for defending the Yotes. Not gunna say you're wrong there. I've actually said something about it when he banned a NDSU guy for some petty crap. It's why if I forget my password I don't put much effort into fixing it to post there. Here, AGS, and b-ville are more fun in that aspect. I'm with ya, isn't talking smack from behind a computer screen one of the main purposes of message boards? haha

Honestly, I'm not sure what is sadder - that rabbits fans take time out of their day to go to a different team's board to spread hate, or that so many Yotes fans quickly jump on board and shout back. Disappointing on both fronts. Our board is the only place you can have a rebuttal, if you try to comment back at anything over there on the bunny board crazy uncle filbert gives you a lecture and a stern warning to stop talking smack and then he bans you for defending the Yotes. Yeah, filbert is a little anal about his rules. What can you do,it's his board

obviously it is early, but seeing some rumblings of Ryan Miller to SDSU. I think we had some interest when we were in the market for a new coach. Did he make USD short list?

I haven't changed my mind at all. I don't think WBB is a joke but I also don't think it is a premier sport. I thought it was great what the USD women did, good for them, and good for the university, but I still maintain that if USD plans on holding up WBB as the premier program we offer then we have got issues. WBB is the marquee sport at SDSU, it's something that you have held onto dearly and to see USD eclipse your accomplishments and build the better WBB program has been great. FWIW, I don't really care what the program is, WBB, soccer, football, track & field, x-country, freaking tiddly-winks, it doesn't matter to me, as long as we're better than State it's all good in my book. You're deflecting a bit. I'm Pretty sure is was "nobody care about women's baaketball". I'm not much of a women's bb fan but I love that our fans support it so well, but to say it is a marquee sport at State is silly. Unlike USD we support all our major sports well. On a National level there is not a huge following for women's basketball and, personally, I am not really into it. Look at the attendance and the publicity it receives. If not for the UCONN women, the fact ESPN is based in Connecticut, and their dominance we'd probably hear even less. I'm happy USD is good at it but I view the sport the same way I view soccer, volleyball, softball, track, etc., it's nice when USD is successful and I am pleased they represent the University well. Heck, I am not even that big of a men's basketball follower. I've never claimed to be and my posting activity here reflects such. USD football is the program I am passionate about and everybody around here knows that.

I don't know how legitimate he was as a candidate, but there was definitely somebody on here that was connected to him and indicated that he was interested in the job. Likewise, there is a similar person on the SDSU board making noise that he is interested in the SDSU job. I have no idea what his coaching ability is, but I know that he is widely considered a top notch recruiter. He played a big part in UNLV landing their highly ranked class. Hell, all he needs to do is say "I was an assistant with Coach Cal in Memphis" and he should be able to get a meeting with any recruit. Even though I would be nervous about the caliber of players he would draw to SDSU, I wouldn't lose sleep over Miller being named. I am not confident that he is the complete package. Personally, I would be much more concerned if they hired TJ from ISU.

Ryan Miller came up here a lot during our search but I don't think he was a serious candidate due to his lack of head coach experience. We wanted someone who has led a program at some point and Ryan Miller has only ever been an assistant.

I was told that our AD had a very short list so it will probably be someone that hasn't been mentioned.

I don't think Coach Miller was a candidate for the USD job, although his name did surface. It came down to Coach Smith and TJ Otzelberger. AD Herbster went with Craig but labored over the decision. I love Coach Smith, but at the I didn't know him and was pulling for TJ. Either hire would be considered a home run. If SDSU inks TJ to a contract, it would be the best hire they could make. TJ is as good a person as you could get. And his recruiting abilities is off the chart.

Seems like his name pops up a lot when there's job openings. I've heard rumors about him and the Green Bay job too.

Will there be a "Are you a 'call a timeout' at the end of the game kinda guy?" question on the application?

I'll agree that winning the WNIT is bigger than a first round win, but one accomplishment and two regular season championships doesn't trump 7/8 years of tourney appearances and a couple wins there. If the curve continues we shall see, but I'll wait to see what the yote women look like next year first. It's pretty unfair to compare accomplishments when SDSU had a 4 or 5 year head start. Compare what the programs have done since the Coyotes were post season eligible.

I'm just having a little fun poking at the Bunnies who are wallowing in misery. In the course of one weekend USD accomplished something the Jacks could not do in their marquee sport of Women's Basketball, the one program they could always hang their hat on and now they have been eclipsed. Now their Men's program is in turmoil with their coaching staff gone, half their roster needing replaced. It's beautiful karma coming back to bite them in the fluffy tail. For being the administrator, you sure run a tight ship here. Anything goes as long if its a knock on the wabbits. Its your board and if you can tell me how to cancel out, I will do it.
