This will be quite the test for the young Coyotes. Arkansas is good and should be favored by quite a bit but I wouldn't put it past this team to give them a good game. As long as they play the same way they played against Stephen F. Austin it will be interesting to see how the game plays out.
7PM tipoff tonight but don't have enough time currently to see if the game will be available on line.

It will be on the SEC Network Plus. You will be able to stream it on the WatchESPN app (assuming you have the package to watch the SEC Network)

15-12 Arkansas at the end of the first quarter. The Razorbacks are really good and really athletic. If the Coyotes can hang athletically with this team they can with anyone on their schedule. I thought considering the constant pressure that Arkansas puts on that the Coyotes played pretty well. The question is how long can the Yotes hang in this game?

Believe it or not the Coyotes actually lead this game at halftime. 28-27 USD. The Coyotes were down by as much as nine and ended the half on a 8-0 run. So impressive to be able to be tested like this and be able to come out of it strong half way through. The Coyotes have hit some opportunistic threes that have been the story of their offense. The defense has been solid as well. I really like the Yotes red road uni's. They look very nice.

They were picked to finish 10th in the SEC.....This game should be close if they want to even compete for a Summit Championship this year.

Gee Sand, Wayne State's men were picked to finish 15th in the NSIC and they looked pretty good against State the other night. Probably not too many times in the history of the Summit League that a team has been leading an SEC team at the half in any sport, but maybe that's a regular occurrence for State's equestrian team.

Yeah and the SDSU men have been playing like crap. That was expected when you lose 3 of the best guards in the summit, 1 one of the best bench players (nation's best walk-on as well), and bring in a new head coach. They'll be there when conference play starts up. Back to WBB, since that is what the thread is about. SDSU beat Arkansas the past 2 years and are 8-2 against the SEC since going D1. I was just correcting CF when he said Arkansas was really good.

Promising performance from a team missing five seniors and two projected starters while also under a new head coach who all still have to learn how to work with each other? Nah. No way can one look at this one as a positive.

All I was saying is that Arkansas isn't that good. It was good effort by the Yotes.

Ok I know what some people think about moral victories but what a performance in Fayetteville to come within one possession of a win. The Coyotes lose it 70-67 but what a fight they put up. They were down by between 4-10 most of the game but never let Arkansas pull out too far ahead. The Coyote game that was untested by a really good opponent translated just fine. Arkansas was more athletic but the Yotes made up for it by playing smart team basketball. This could have easily been a 20+ point loss tonight but kudo's to the team for the performance. Very happy with the team so far this year.

I was just correcting CF when he said Arkansas was really good. So did the Jacks lose all 5 of their starters plus 2 very significant bench contributors. I admit your men have lost a lot as well but the SDSU biased media didn't really think they would skip much of a beat and most Jacks fans thought just simply having Daum back would more then enough to make up for the heavy losses they took. They were picked 2nd in the Summit whereas a more dominant Coyote Women's team were picked third. Just look at the difference. The Jacks men barely beat Wayne State at home. The Coyote Women only lost to Arkansas by 3 on the road. It was a nice performance tonight by the Coyotes regardless of your anti Coyote sentiment. The bottom line is that it appears that the Coyote women for the millionth year in a row appear to be under rated again. Can't say the same about the Jacks men being picked second. Of course it is early but considering the circumstances this has been a great start for the USD Women. Looks like the loss of Seekamp which the Jacks fans have been obsessed about for at least a couple of years isn't going to be the death blow to this team that SDSU people thought it would be.
