The gals from Western apparently as good as their preseason billing. They own multiple wins, including a 13 point win over Wichita State, a 10 point win over Illinois, and a 7 point win over #22 Stanford. That's pretty impressive. The Summit League should be a (2) bid conference.
For us to win, we need to play 4 quarters of unrattled basketball. Good luck to them and the coaching staff.

Well, coach P has had a year to think about WIU's quirky zone defense, and the lineup is basically the same as last year, so there should be plenty of tape to look at. You gotta think she has a plan....

a few games ago the Coyotes would have been buried in this game. Now they should have a better chance. since this is at western I will have to go Leathernecks 81-71.

Massey has us with a win probability of 39% and a typical score of WIU winning 77-73.
I'll take a game that is within four points. I like our chances in any close game this year based on our FT shooting.
Right now WIU's average score on the season is 84-66. Right now USD's average score on the season is 71-62.

I think this will be the first big game of the conference season. You have 3 (SDSU, USD and Western Illinois) teams or maybe 4 (ORU) that should finish at the top of the conference. This will be the first matchup of those teams. If USD can go to Western and win, they will have the first leg up for the conference championship. I do think that Western will put it out by about 10 points but you never know.

Lets face it, the Coyotes are not being talked about in the same breathe as WIU and SDSU right now and whether that is fair is up to ones own interpretation. That will change if the Coyotes can win tonight.

One positive against WIU is that they aren't going to overwhelm the Yotes with their size. That could be an issue against State, though.

It's frustrating that we won't be able to watch the game tonight. Would be nice if WIU could get their $h!t together and televise big games like this.

Let's see...it's a school that's hemorrhaging money, programs, professors and students. Not that I disagree with you, but having a video feed might be a bit down on their list of things to worry about at the present time. I just hope they can remain a viable enough institution to have the budget to keep competing in the Summit/MVFC because they are a valuable member.

Paid to watch... video feed that comes up when you click on game is a replay of men's game. It even says "women's basketball vs South Dakota". Glad I paid for this...

This is the obvious answer but I believe the key tonight will be the intensity on defense. I think the magic number is 75. Hold them below that, I think it will be a win, if not I don't like the chances.

5-0 start. Western has come out cold so that is a start.
