Jay Ivey, a former player under Coach Lee is on KWSN right now.
Calls Lee a "preparation" and "discipline" coach.
Always has good defense, rebounding and efficient offense
Very adaptive as to system. Will adapt to the talent he has.
Has recruited West Coast, Australia, Transfers, 4-years, Jucos, local area, etc. Whatever it takes.
Not a hugely demonstrative guy like Smith (no crowd surfing likely), but he is amazing with people 1-on-1, and nothing drives him more than winning...
Maybe a podcast will be available later.

Seems like it is now appropriate to mention that ESPN has the Yotes as a #13 seed in the bracketology for next year. With coach Lee in place, we should expect that to rise. #seemsreasonable #basedonwhatexactly

The Jacks are the odds-on favorites and have basically already won the 2019 SLT. That's what everyone keeps telling me, anyway.

We can spin the hire either way, I can easily point out there are way more qualified candidates and other could come back and say he’s great hire and had relationships with AD all along and he was always the main candidate etc. The first test will be if he can recruit and if he can recruit Mooney as the first start. I personally am not a fan of the hire however he could win me over with a start of keeping this roster in tact.

I hear there is a good chance Mooney is leaving and that was regardless of who was hired. I wasn't going to post that, but I just didn't want our new coach to get blamed for losing him. The chances of Mooney staying are slim.

Wouldn’t blame lee if he leaves but would go a ways for me as far as winning me over. Recruiting is a big big deal at this level.

If Mooney leaves, it would be unreasonable to blame the new coach, regardless of who he is. If he can keep him, he deserves all of the credit in the world, but it is absurd to put any blame on him. That falls, first and foremost, on Coach Smith. Fair or not.

So you've got a guy coming in that has proven that he can flat out coach and WIN at every level and your going to pack your bags and venture into the unknown when you have a great chance at a conference championship and NCAA appearance staring you in the face. I don't buy it for a second.
