Looks like the Yotes swept the Hawks in Grand Forks. Nice bounce-back win! According to the article, Rasmussen beat the 3-set dig total record for USD in that match!
Prior to this weekend USD was #14 in the country in digs/set at 17.94.
Against UNO: 17.25 Digs/set Against UND: 27.67 Digs/set
*edit: now on Monday the Yotes are #7 in the country with 18.30 digs/set. and Rasmussen is #14 individually in that stat.

Total domination of the Jacks:
25-18 25-15 25-11
Watching the game, I'm seeing a HUGE disparity in back-row play. It's not just about quick reflexes in getting to the ball. Our back row is really good at placing the ball right to the setter, keeping everything in-system. Wilson and Gerdes had great games as well.

Are those new?

Gameday @ WIU. Looks like the video stream is free. I don't see the Yotes losing this game, but tune in if you get the chance. The girls are playing at a very high level right now. After WIU they go on the road against all three of the toughest teams in the conference, and I think they will do quite well.

Coyotes sweep leathernecks, but each set was closer than I would have liked to see. 25-18 25-20 25-18
I was only able to watch the beginning, and parts of the last set. From the sound of it, the teams were neck and neck for the early part of each set, then SD took control at the end of the set. Sounds like there is some sports psychology at play with that pattern. Either WIU was just tough at home, better than their record, or the Yotes didn't have the "eye of the tiger" in the early parts of sets. Hard to say. On to Purdue Ft. Wayne...

The Coyotes have now swept their last five opponents! Their latest victim comes on the road at Fort Wayne. Next up, @ Denver Tuesday.

Tuesday night the gals take on league leading Denver at Denver. Most likely a win ( or loss ) doesn’t help or hurt them for the Summit League tournament. We appear to be heading towards a 2 or 3 seed and would have to play the other 2 or 3 to get a shot at Denver for the right to advance.

True, but the top two seeds get a bye, so that’s worth something. The next match with Omaha will be critical. Fort Wayne beat them (Omaha) recently, so they aren’t as “Teflon” as Denver. Someone could knock them out of the quarterfinals...

This is an accolade that was a long-time coming IMO. Wilson has been the picture of consistency as an efficient hitter.
Also, every week that Rasmussen doesn't win defensive player of the week is an injustice.
