I don’t have a problem with these picks. The only change I would make is to put Denver above ORU. Just a gut feeling I have about the upward trajectory of Denver and their coach. Also, ORU loses their two best players to graduation and transfer.
Interesting that Zimmer voted for Lamb and not Larson. Otherwise his vote was about the same as the final. I think last year’s Coyote team made him a believer. He called the Yotes win before the final season game.

Yotes with 9/33 first place votes. I'm honestly surprised the pollsters gave that many, did the Seekamp teams even hit that mark?

Annual preseason polls dont matter comment. I'd say that no matter the rankings, but its something to talk about. I'm looking forward to seeing the new post players. There is some promise there and could make the yotes a more well rounded team.

It’s nice to see the recognition for the hard work the girls put in. It is also nice to stir up some basketball conversation - the first game is just 5 weeks from today! ❤️🏀⛹️♀️🐾❤️

Kudos to the voters for putting Lexi Klabo on 1st team. I would guess 3/4 of the voters didn't see UND play last year. Excited to see how this team does - I expect a big step forward this year which could be a pretty special season.

If Lexi Klabo is that UND post player I remember her as being very, very good.

I'll wager we will see Hannah S. on the post-season all-summit team...

I'll wager we will see Hannah S. on the post-season all-summit team... Beat me to a bold prediction..I think Chloe Lamb has a great shot to be on. She came on strong to finish the season and has such a good all around game.

She came on strong to finish the season and has such a good all around game. That's a good point, too. Lamb really impressed me with her confidence, passing and court vision as a true freshman. I know Dawn supposedly has a "position-less" system, but having a steady point guard is always a good thing in any system, IMO. I don't remember her assist-turnover ratio, but I think it was pretty good. Great arc shooter, too. (confidence)

I hope I'm wrong but I don't see anyway we finish 3rd we lost everything AKA Emily Clemens. Higginbotham is the only returning starter. Denver should for sure be ahead and probably ORU. On a side note isn't Guebert in like her 12 year for the Jacks.

😂😂 It sure does seem like she’s been there forever, doesn’t it? But no, just a redshirt year for her. Luckily for us Yote fans, next year we will have her little sister, Macy.

On a side note isn't Guebert in like her 12 year for the Jacks. I agree with you about WIU taking a step back, and Denver at 3rd. Clemens and all of those seniors will be a big loss. I'd still put them at 4rth, though, based on Gravina's system, Higginbotham's leadership, and I believe you guys got 2 or 3 transfer players as well. A.J. and Coach P seem to have schemed well for the Necks last year, but the rest of the conference was not able to follow suit. Gravina won't suddenly become a bad coach this year. Higginbotham's stat line was extremely similar to, but not quite as outstanding as Clemens. To me that means she may be able to fill that role this year in that system. Who knows? ORU and Omaha lost some of their best players, too. I think the gap between 2 and 3 might get a little wider this year. I hope I am wrong about that, for the sake of the Conference, but it is what it is. For Omaha to have their leading scorer and starting point guard to just transfer to Lamar is telling. Either there is something wrong in the locker-room, or you have players that see the writing on the wall as far as their team's chances to get to the dance, and they want to try something else. On the other hand, Denver just got a big, talented center from UNC (or CSU?) this year, and WIU got a few transfers, I think ORU has had a lot of international transfers, too. It's a new type of strategy.
