Any news on the men's basketball recruiting efforts? To date, Coa h Boots has signed 5 players for next season. The early season signees were Casy Kasperbauer from Carroll, Iowa. Casy reminds me a lot of your Wolters (obviously not as seasoned, but from a potential standpoint). Also signing early was Tyler Flack, a 6'7" kid I believe out of Minnesota. Since then, Coach Boots has signed 3 kids. Tyler Larson is a 6'3" guard from Vegas but played in Casper, Wyoming the past 2 seasons as a Ju-Co player. Karin Rowson is from Harlem, NYC, and played the past two seasons at a Ju-Co in Oklahoma. The last one is Eric Robertson, a 6'7" forward from Wayzata, Minnesota. I have seen the Kasperbauer kid play a few times, not a lot, but he does remind me of Wolters. He can fire from 3 at will. His uncle is a good friend of mine. The others I haven't seen play as of yet, but credentials seem to be ok. As we all know, the game is played on the court. Good Lord knows we will need a lot of help next year with our graduating losses and one player quitting. I do think Dave is a good coach, but how fast hey develop or how good they are is yet to be determined. Good question JackJd. How about the Jacks recruits?

Our most recent news is the commitment this weekend of Matt Donlan out of California, He's 6-6/6-7 and really came on his senior season. By those who follow it closely, it's a real good "get". TV in the Argus: terryvandrovec.tumblr.com/

Mick Garry has suggested that the Yotes might still sign one more player, if the right guys is available...

TV in the Argus: terryvandrovec.tumblr.com/When it comes to the Jacks and objectivity Terry Vandrovec is certainly not one person that I am going to trust to be objective when it comes to SDSU. He might be right or he might not be but he can be trusted about as much as someone from the 20th row of Frost Arena calling out "Lets Go Jacks" chants. Ooops I guess that guy is Terry, nevermind.

Yeah Conlon is a D2 PLAYER, I doubt he can even play one quarter in the USD game. He sucks just like the rest of SDSU. ;D

That being said, I wished there would come a time on either this board or the Jacks board where we could discuss each others teams, schedule, or future without the childish outbursts.

I thought my smiley would give everyone the tonque in cheek feel, but I guess not. Certainly not a childist outburst. Donlon looks to be a good addition to SDSU, how good only time will tell. Oh by the way TV does a good job on reporting for SDSU sports for the Argus. He is an Argus employee, and his very honest in his reporting. He can be brutal at times such as the feature article about the departure of our former AD, who was and is my friend. Why is it that USD fans have said on this board, that they wish he was their beat writer? He must be doing something right. BTW, Boots seems to be having his share of success on the recruiting trail, as does Coach Williams. Look for big crowds in the future when SDSU-USD clash.

FWIW, I would love to have a guy that busted his butt like Terry and built up the PR for USD. That being said, he is in no way, shape or form an objective observer/reporter. As an SDSU fan, that is great. As a casual sports fan, it is misleading.
Any school would kill to have a guy like that in their corner.

How about the new Aussie that is coming in for the Yotes. Utah State transfer but sounds like a promising prospect. Anybody know much about him?

The Utah State BB guide (2011-2012) doesn't add much to the recent press release. Born in 1991, 6-4 185 and a lefty. They touted his athleticism (first dunk at age 14), solid skills and international experience.
Is anyone else concerned by the lack of size in this recruiting class?
