Just picked up their first W of the season in a 3-1 contest over a Tennessee State squad that was second last year in the Ohio Valley Conference. Nice! Get three more before you head home ladies!

I went up to Montgomery Saturday to see that day's matches.
Very disappointing result against Jacksonville State, winning the first two sets handily, then dropping the last three, including 23-25 and 13-15 in the final two. I seemed to me that the Coyotes ran out of energy in the middle of the third set, coinciding with the Gamecocks gaining confidence. Jacksonville State won all four of their matches at the tournament.
USD won the afternoon match against Southeastern Louisiana 3-0. They scored the last seven or eight points of the first set to steal it 25-23, then held on to win the second set 25-23 as well, despite some problems with the scorekeeping, the correction of which lead a SE Louisiana fan to loudly claim they had been screwed while the teams changed ends. USD took control in Set 3, winning 25-15.
I thought Kritenbrink looked especially effective in the afternoon session. Aschoff looked good, too.

In a little good news after the disappointing football game, The Yotes rallied from a 1-2 deficit to win the 4th set and then beat SDSU with an exciting 18-16 win in the 5th set. Makes 4 wins in a row for the Yotes over the Bunnies.

Below is from TV's blog on the Argus site. Tells how USD could get in the 4 team VB tournament.
If Oakland, UMKC, SDSU, USD and NDSU all finish at 8-8. SDSU would be 3-5 against those teams. Oakland is 3-5 against those teams. NDSU would be 5-3 against those teams. USD is 5-3 against those teams. UMKC is 4-4 against those teams. Tiebreaker 1: Results of each tied team’s collective record against the other teams tied for the same position. That eliminates SDSU, Oakland and UMKC, and puts USD and NDSU in the field.
