Heard that a young man from Plainfield, IL committed on Monday. Kiefer Ketelhut, he's a 6'6", 270 lb. OL. Saw his highlights last year and he looked good. To top if off, he has a grade point that is off the charts.

Jeremy Heck has an up to date list on the Press & Dakotan blog. I think this is what you were referring to: •• John Wessel, SF Roosevelt (LB, 6-2, 200) •• Riley Donovan, Kasson-Mantorville, Minn. (WR, 6-1, 185) •• Sean Finley, Fountain Valley, Calif. (OLB, 6-4, 200). Had offers from Arizona and Nevada. 3-star ESPN recruit •• Miles Bergner, Longmont, Colo. (K/P, 6-1, 200). Will play in the 2013 U.S. Army All-America Bowl in San Antonio, Texas. Had offer from Northern Colorado •• Colin Mertlik, Blair, Neb. (LB, 6-3, 195). Had offer from Northwest Missouri State and serious interest from North Dakota •• Tevin Foster, Lawton, Okla. (WR, 5-10, 175). Offer from Dartmouth. Committed to USD in June •• Sean Glenn, Windsor, Colo. (DE, 6-3, 225). As a senior, recorded 44 solo tackles, 46 assisted tackles and 10.5 sacks for a state championship team. Had offers from Northern Colorado and SDSU. www.glennfootball.us/•• Kyle Staples, Fresno, Calif. (ILB, 6-1, 230, Fresno City CC transfer). In 2011, he recorded 31 tackles, two for loss. No stats could be found for this past season, when Fresno lost in the State Center Bowl. •• Kiefer Ketelhut, Plainfield, Ill. (TE/OL, 6-6, 270). Had interest from Central Michigan. •• Edward Kennedy, Ft. Collins, CO (OT 6'5" 265) •• Stetson Dagel, Cherokee, IA (OT/DE/OLB 6'5" 250)

Although the media hasn't reported it, I'm 99% sure that we can add: ** Ed Kennedy, Fort Collins, CO (OL, 6-5, 265) had offer from Northern Colorado, <others?> found some <rather slow moving> video here: www.highschoolcube.com/students/edward-kennedy

That's exactly what USD needs, an earthmover on the O-line and create some big holes. Strike some fear in the opposing D-Line.

Brandt VanRoekel from Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley Dang. A lefty with an arm and wheels. I like it. It is a good policy to try to get one scholarship QB in each class to maintain strong competition at the most important position on the offense.
