Looks like SDSU is going to win another one today. SDSU was a one point underdog vs Buffalo but they won it pretty easy. Led big throughout. Won 94-80. Daum had 34 points.

That's a good win for SDSU, especially with Daum appearing to provide very little. No way SDSU wins a game like that last year with Daum having that type of game. Not sure what's going on with Iowa, they had almost everyone returning from last year's team, they were expecting to be a sure tournament team this year. They've gotten boff to a slow start but it's still a good win for state, our conference needed that as we haven't had a lot of good non conference wins so far this year.

This is what we are looking at for the tourney with the following games played at the Sanford Pentagon Friday at 5:30PM vs Southern Mississippi The Golden Eagles are 2-1 so far and are in Conference USA vs Southern-New Orleans they won 79-69 at Michigan they lost 61-47 vs Blue Mountain College they won 90-46 It looks like they played one very difficult game and two cupcakes. They only beat an NAIA school by 10. Conference USD is pretty good but perhaps not as good as it used to be. The Eagles only won 9 games last year. They could compete if they play very well but I would expect the Coyotes to still win this game by at least double digits it not 20 or more. Saturday at 6:30PM vs Northern Colorado The Bears are 1-2 so far and are in the Big Sky at Colorado they lost 66-51 vs UC-Davis they lost 74-59 at Pepperdine they won 84-82 They were 7-11 in the Big Sky last year and lost to Montana and Montana state by a decent margin. Those two teams the Coyotes handled when they weren't even playing well yet last year. The Coyotes should run them pretty much right out of the Pentagon. There is a better chance that the Coyotes win this game by 30 than the Bears win or keep it to a single digit loss. Overall the competition isn't quite as good as I would like it to be but at least these are all D1 programs and good tests for the team. If the Coyotes beat S. Mississippi especially if they beat them badly they are going to win this tourney easily barring an unusual turn of events. It is nice to play a couple of different type of opponents in YSU and Southern Miss. It would be nice if they could make this event or a similar event in Vermillion a common occurance. It allows the basket junkie to get 3 games in 3 days and who doesn't like that. I would expect the Southern Miss game to be a pretty good game. I realize CF seems pretty confident in a blowout win and I hope he's right, but it appears they lost at Michigan by 14. I would like to think we are better than the Big 10 tournament champs from last year who made it to the Sweet 16, but I just don't know if we are there yet. If we win that game by 20 I'm going to be damn impressed and not just think that it was expected. It certainly appears like we will be the two best teams in the classic.

Even State fans have to be getting a little embarrassed about how bad USD is getting screwed. Streveler was a yard deep in the end zone on the 4th down play and that targeting call might have been the worst I've ever seen, the refs just wanted to make sure we had no starters left in the secondary. Those are just the top 2 screws, I could give a top ten. And it's pretty bush league for state to keep faking cramps on defense to slow us down. I thought Stig was better than that.

Well altogether 360 total can’t really say any part of the D has been very good Nobody kicked our ass this bad all last year. Every game in the conference I think was a one score game. Can't believe State handled these guys like they did. We are going to need some help from the home crowd next week.

Hate to say it but this thing looks to be over. Two drives already over 95 yards. We can't tackle today.

Wow I just checked the stats and USD out gained UNI 490-283. But the 4-0 difference in turnovers negated that much of an advantage in yardage. The Coyotes didn't have any offensive turnovers until a late meaningless turnover against Indiana State and now they are coming in bunches. Coyotes didn't lose this game because we were conservative. We dominated this game plain and simple. Look at those stats you posted. We lost because of turnovers. Some might say we got a little too aggressive down by the goal line with the int but I'm fine with that play call. Turnovers aren't the result of being too conservative. When one team loses the turnover battle that badly then upsets happen. This is a really tough one to swallow because we were clearly the better team today. And I agree on that last fumble call, what the hell was the big hurry, I doubt very much they even took the time to watch it in Slow motion. I believe his knee was down and if they get that right we still win. Obviously we are going to have our hands full the next two games. At ndsu speaks for itself and State is probably playing better than anyone right now. I actually like how we match up with ndsu better but that one is on the road. We just can't lose the turnover battle. We might not have to win it, but we can't lose it.

If someone is bothered by this then don't click the topic. No one is ever forced to read anything and no one should be forced not to read either. It's called America. Every media outlook is all over this story so why on the Coyote message board should we not talk about it. Actually they are interviewing students right now on KELO TV and they are talking about it as well. I prefer not to sweep things under the rug just because they are unpleasant to talk about. I don't think anyone is pulling info out of their asses but instead commenting based on what has already been reported. Couldn't agree with this more. If you don't want to talk about it stay out of the thread, it's not hard. To your other point coyotefan forcible rape needs force, threats of harm, or coercion, not sure where it would fit in if the finger was put in without her knowing. I realize most want nothing to do with this topic so I don't expect any replies from those people.

I wonder what this does mean for Harris. Sounds like he's not being charged criminally for anything, but he did have premarital sex, so maybe he will remain suspended. If Rambo snuck his finger in there without her knowing and without her consent then the forcible rape that he's charged with probably doesn't fit, however he probably is looking at Unlawful Sexual Contact, a misdemeanor. That would still be enough to end things for him here. Now obviously we have yet to hear all the details. Maybe it will turn out he used force or threats thereby making him guilty of the rape, maybe it will turn out he felt he had consent. Who knows. From a team perspective it appears the only question still up in the air is what the team is going to do with Harris.

And it's standard for players to hold resentment towards the school for it. My point is they won't be back regardless if they are exonerated or not. IDK why there would be resentment for an event they put themselves in. Where do you buy your crystal balls? I could use one. When you are going by past events you don't need a crystal ball. I was talking about exonerated players at other schools who have held resentment towards their school for judging them guilty until proven innocent. That has happened, that is not predicting the future. Did anyone watch the 30 for 30 on Duke Lacrosse? Those players weren't real happy with their school.
Without knowing the facts of the case it's hard for me to Judge one way or another. I can't come down hard on the players for putting themselves in that situation if I don't know what it is that they did or what position they put themselves in. Obviously if they did what they are accused of then they will and should go to prison. However, with what's been released we have no idea if they are guilty or not. If this is a false accusation or buyers remorse then it's impossible to view this as anything other than the players being victims. We don't know. Duke Lacrosse isn't the only example of false accusations, it's just the most highly publicized one. Don't try to mistake this post for me saying the players are innocent, because as I've clearly said I have no idea as I'm sure most of you don't either. Anyone can get accused of anything. I would like to see the facts of the case before I start to judge people guilty, but maybe that's just the American in me.

If they are exonerated the chances of it being before the season is over is slim and none. And if they are exonerated in the spring do they want to come back to play for a school who didn't stand behind them? A school who said you are guilty until proven innocent. I have to think their careers at USD are over regardless of outcome. Its standard to hold out players until a result is found on charges like this. And it's standard for players to hold resentment towards the school for it. My point is they won't be back regardless if they are exonerated or not.

What an awful series of events. Awful for victim if true. Awful pr for the program. Lots of carnage here. Even if exonerated, careers at usd probably over for accused. I don't agree. If the offending parties are convicted, yes then they are history as Coyotes. If they are found not guilty there is really no reason that they should not be allowed to continue being Coyotes next season or before. It is too early to make judgments at this time but typically in these cases where there is smoke there is fire. If they are exonerated the chances of it being before the season is over is slim and none. And if they are exonerated in the spring do they want to come back to play for a school who didn't stand behind them? A school who said you are guilty until proven innocent. All I am aware of was what was reported, that 3 players were suspended for the SIU game for breaking team rules? Not sure what that means, but I assume at some point a decision is made if they return or the suspension includes further games. Way above my paygrade!! Regardless, the boys that stepped in took advantage of the opportunity and showed they were prepared for the big stage and deserve the opportunity to see additional playing time. Well I don't know what it is either, but hopefully it's nothing too serious, as you don't lose two really good starters at the same position without noticing a dropoff in production. Yes we managed to keep their backup out of the endzone but I think we would agree that we were pretty fortunate to do that. He racked up quite a few yards passing. No doubt the replacements played big, but to ask for that kind of production out of them down the stretch would be asking a lot. But I guess if nobody has any idea what this suspension is all about then I guess we have no idea how long to expect it to be. In the meantime I hope we don't get any injuries to our secondary, I would have to imagine we are a little thin back there right now.
